Strange issue with Trinitron CRT (update with new info & fix

Post by ThunderRay »

Hi, yesterday i bought a Sony Trinitron in very good condition (15" gray case and flat screen, maybe its a latest model) with composite ok, but an issue with RGB Signal.

In composite the image quality is crisp and the colours are awesome and accurate, but when i connect a videoconsole with the RGB cable (all PAL systems in my case) the image turns yellowish all the place, the whites are no whites anymore, are just yellows, its look very clear in the konami logo, the background have to be white, but in the case of my tv is shine yellow. And the image turns 16:9 too.

So, i dont know what is happening with my tv, since the composite signal is awesome, and the TV has practically no use (geometry its perfect, and the case too)

Thank you for reading and i hope you can help me.

Later i will make a few shots with the mobile phone camera to show you the colour issue, and the difference between composite and RGB

EDIT

Hi, i have new info about de CRT and the issue with de RGB Signal:

Well, i tried my Wii's RGB (bigger than the others, and the scart is made of gold) and works OK, the picture have all the colors, and the yellowish whites have gone, so its ok, the only videoconsole i have which works fine in RGB with this TV.

So i think the problem is in the other cables (Bad quality maybe? The Snes one is EAXUS brand) and i need to know how to fix it.

The Trinitron model is: KV-14LT1E

And here i have a bunch of pics of the Wii on RGB:
