Has anyone here played "The Hive"??...

Post by dave4shmups »

I LOVE rail shooters, and I know that this one is available for PC and PS1.

Has anyone played either version? IGN gives it a bad rating, but they've given done that with video games I've ending up really liking before.

Evidently the PC version uses a mouse for control, perhaps the PS1 mouse would be ideal for the PS1 port of this game.

In any case, I'd love to hear some feedback from someone who's actually played this game.

IGN/Lamespy, do something good for once in your live. Make yourselves useful and give Dave here a bit of info on this game. I command you! :P

Thanks, but I already indicated that I had read that article. I'd like some other opinions as well.

Oh. Must have missed that line. From the sound of it, I'm guessing you're better off with StarBlade Alpha.

Sorry dude, I should have been more specific-my bad!

In any case, I would REALLY like to hear back from someone, anyone, who's played this game.

I posted this in reply to your post in the other thread, but I may as well post it here so you don't miss it. I've played the PC version, and I thought it was pretty neat. Great music too. I've heard the control is too slow on the PS1 version, and that could very well be a valid argument, however if it's cheap, I don't see why you shouldn't give it a try.

The whole IGN/Lamespy/etc organisation really is the steaming cess pool of the gaming internet, and what's worse is they keep drawing smaller sites into the mire.

Thanks for that input! I intend to give it a try as it is very cheap on Ebay.
