Sony Trinitron kvx2982u service menu

Hello. I can't figure out how to access the service menu on this particular TV. Nothing comes up (no TT) with the usual methods. Is it possible? Anything I haven't tried?

I've tried the following:

[PWR OFF] - [DISP], [5], [VOL+], [PWR ON] (but I had to do PWR ON with the TV button itself)

i+, 5, Volume +, [ ] "Blank square button" (Blank square buttons spring the TVs into life)

[PWR OFF] - [DISP], [5], [PWR ON]

[PWR OFF] - [DISP], [5], [VOL+], [PICTURE], [PWR ON]

Holding any 2 buttons on the TV itself while it powers on.

Even still, I can't get the service menu to work. I don't have that 'display on screen' button despite having the exact same remote from the manual (RM-833). I've tried every button in lieu. Nothing worked. I've tried both possible variations of 'standby', tried inputting the buttons fast, slow, etc. Nothing. No 'TT' shows onscreen. I am totally stumped.

It's kind of annoying that a bunch of the function buttons aren't directly labeled.

I would turn the TV on and press buttons until I find the one that toggles the OSD--that'll be your display button.

Also, is the 'TV Button' the one labeled 3 in the diagram?
