I have a basic extension cable (male to male) for my component cabling connections.
The extension cable is connected by plastic at the ends and the colors are in a different order to my gaming component cables.
If I just connect all 3 and mismatch the colors it shouldn't pose a problem right?
Are all 3 component cables the same?

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Zero issues, as long as the proper signal is going to the correct input on your device.

RCA is rca.
There is a theory that component rca is supposed to handle more (something), but rca coupling and extending will work for most theater setups and is currently how my component box goes from my gaming shelf to my tv 35' away.

you can use any thick Rca cable for component. color coding is just there to help you connect it but it is otherwise meaningless.
