Eaglet, Plasmo and I have been discussing the idea of a Q&A stream for Battle Garegga, where we discuss strategies and techniques for the game. This is because we noticed a lot of misinformation going around, as well as some misunderstandings about how to approach the game both from a play standpoint and a technical/system standpoint. As the three of us have a lot of experience with the game, we felt that we could do something that would help new players understand the game more, and thus improve their enjoyment of it, as well as dispelling some myths and suggesting some new approaches.
So our idea is to hold a live Q&A stream on my Twitch channel - http://twitch.tv/IcarusFW - where we'll discuss as much of the game over Skype/Mumble as we can, and provide play examples (via save states etc) and prerecorded footage to detail our points of discussion. Session plan:

### Introductions
- Introduction to the people in the Q&A and a short outlay of our history with the game etc
- Talk about the influence of the game
- Point out how other games have influenced Garegga e.g. Gun Frontier, Flying Shark etc
### Systems
- Talk about what makes the system special e.g. rank, powers, scoring, resources etc
* Discussion of rank system: overview, details, debunking
* Item drop order
* Special Formations & Special Powerups
* Resource management: extend and bomb fragment management, balancing acts, basic tips etc
* Broad and generalised tips for 1CCing: learn stage design, bosses, basic scoring, basic rank management etc
### Ships & Scoring
- Talk about the different ships and their characteristics within the gameplay systems
* Four ways to play:
* AoE bomb (Gain, Bornnam etc),
* shooting bomb (e.g. Silver Sword, Grasshopper),
* pointblank bomb (Wild Snail, Flying Baron),
* instant bomb (Miyamoto)
- Discussion on specifics for each ship within the game system
- Focus on Chitta, Snail and Hopper for their quirks
### Advanced Scoring
- Advanced scoring techniques, how they work, and how the different ships use them
- Inner workings of game design
- Stage 1 Bomb Fragment farming
- Birds
- Mad Ball & Mad Ball 2 (resource management etc)
- Earth Crisis (tick milking with Special Shot? max power)
- Medal Rails
- Satanic Surfer (torpedoes and how to get them quickly)

- Nose Laughin 2 (general scoring and survival strategies)
- Slayer (body and cockpit shrapnel)
- Gunblimp suicide & Medal retention in Stage 6
- The Wall (survival strategies)
- Stage 6 Base survival (laser turret bomb)
- Junkey Monkey
- Stage 7 (getting homing, stalling King Crimson, shrapnel cover)
- Setting up for helpers before BH2 (item rotation to protect medal chain)
- Black Heart 2 (the importance of rank on the grenades, dealing with some attack patterns, timing for the vulcan attack, “what you should do if you have low resources on the last phase” ie. sweep manipulation, suicide scoring with Garegga ships)
- Glow Squid (survival tips)
What we won't be addressing is Premium Mode - this Q&A will be exclusively for Arcade Mode system rules and features. The fun extra stuff in Rev.2016 is a separate topic for discussion for another time.
