Ive been running my dreamcast through an RGB cable for a few years now. Ive read that some games wont work in VGA.
my question is, would a vga cable still be a good purchase and a noticable difference? My Dc Already looks great on my CRT.
that would also mean that id have to buy a large vga monitor too.

I have one of those scart/vga boxes and as far as i can tell, neither really looks better or worse. The DC will shine with either inputs.

VGA output on the DC is 480p, so if your display supports that then it's going to look better on 3D games (and 2D games that only support 480i on RGB)

Re: Dreamcast RGB vs VGA
Most games were written for VGA only, so using an RGB cable will give you an interlaced display. Using a real VGA monitor with a VGA box is definitely better!
A small amount of games were written for 240P, in these cases the RGB cable will be better (and VGA is generally not supported - for example BangaiO).
