Things have been recently acquired. Some things in this post started being acquired a few months ago.

Anyway.

Image
Finally got myself a PS Vita slightly less than two weeks ago. OLED model, on FW 3.60, actually already fixed up with Henkaku. Sadly only a 4 GB memory card, but oh well. I'll invest in a larger one eventually.

Image
Image
These actually were a product of my first attempt at getting a Vita, but that deal ended up not happening since the Vita in question had a fairly significant scratch on the screen. But some of the games I'd get with it were interesting to me, so we did a little deal and I got the carrying case with space for 8 games and 2 memory cards plus these six games for a good price, especially since they came without their original game cases. Rayman Legends was the unexpected hit for me among them, and while I haven't played LBP2 yet, I actually know someone who worked on it, so that's fun.

Image
And the big one. The primary reason I got a PSVita in the first place. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir. Didn't buy it with the artbook, actually, and didn't get the artbook from the same place - dude on other gaming froum sold the artbook for cheap, I think the same week I ordered Leifthrasir. Artbook in Japanese but I don't care.

Also, I love the Vita game cases. So small and awesome.

Image
Guru Guru Nagetto for DS. Got it for free together with the artbook.

Image
And just because why not while I had the camera on, bought myself a new water kettle this week since my old one that I had for many many years had started literally falling apart.

Woop.
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself

I bought brand new copies of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Special Edition and Bravely Second: Collector's Edition for $123 total. I've been wanting to get them both for over a year and a half now. Pretty good deal. I wasn't even aware that Xenoblade Chronicles X had a special edition.

Cool, thanks :)

It's not an LP it's a laserdisc containing superplays of the Capcom arcade games on the cover!

Awesome to see. Is the Hiroshi Watanabe remix any good? I wonder how many of the remixers for the 2016 remix soundtrack haven't played it. Hiroshi mentioned on facebook he hasn't ever played it.

Spontaneously chosen to accompany a Tunnel Rats DVD I ordered from the same seller; turns out I must wait for my Tunnel Rats copy for a little bit longer, so this was sent out in advance. A warning - don't expect the eponymous valley to look anything like pictured above in the actual movie. Enough said.

Herdy Gerdy PAL outputs 60 Hz. Cold Fear is one I didn't get on with when it was recent, but that cover painting makes for a nice, cheap collector's item (and the real-time storm effects hold up - that's one wet-looking game right there).

Aww you guessed:D

Edit -Ugh. I got the art for my stick last night and it's 1/8 inch too short. I don't do projects like this often, but that will drive me insane over the long haul. I realize the mistake I made, corrected it, and ordered another decal.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Ex-Ranza, godlike mecha sidescroller. One of the first two MD games I got, because there's simply nothing even remotely like it anywhere else (the other was Assault Suit Leynos which is also very unique but nowhere as easily recommendable  ).

Excellent pick with the JP version of Splatterhouse Part 3, btw - that's the version to own by a million miles. US one is practically ruined by balance meddling from one Ken Lobb, basically turns it into Final Fight with free bombs.

Been after Ex-Ranza for a while, and recently noticed the price seems to be on the up. So when I saw that copy and the fact it was reasonably priced I jumped in. Looking forward to getting to know it a little better... playing Captain Lang first :)

I bought a repro case for my Comix Zone because I don't like non uniform packaged games that much. Do I keep the cardboard box?

Heh, I've been after the game for over 20 years! Saw it when it first got ported and really wanted to get it, but could never find it despite many Genesis titles appearing on shelves in the UK here and there.

Forgot all about it until I then saw a copy (not the one pictured) on eBay at random and decided to go after it (again). Certainly not gonna complain for 10 bucks.

I haven't played it in years, but as an adult I can see it being good fun with a group of friends and a 12 pack.

Bayou Billy eh?

It is practically mandatory to clear the practice stages if you're trying for a 1 CC. The domestic version is wayyyyy harder. Especially the riving stages...holy fuck what were they thinking?

I wouldn't go back and play it now, but it could be kind of bad ass as a remake.

Just got my Sony PVM-9042QM in perfect condition, picture quality is outstanding.
Unit is about the size of Wacom Intuos M which is quite convenient.

Sample video of me playing Batsugan for a few sec

So happy!

P. S. And here is braided HDMI cable with LEDs, never knew they existed.

I haven't played Bayou Billy since I was 10, and I dread realizing that it's become absolutely awful now.

I love that stick, 604.

Nice, congrats! Reminds me that I forgot to post the one I picked up.

Sony PVM-14M4A. Local TV station auctioned off some stuff, which is a once-in-a-blue-moon thing where I live. Has some slight burn-in from displaying in 16:9, but otherwise it's been running great. Figured I'd probably never get my hands on one, yet here it is. Chuffed. :3

Yes, I have a small 'lab' there which I use to do electronics (gaming and hobby projects).
Here is some kind of room tour if you are interested http://ra.livejournal.com/7141.html

Emma, congrats on Garegga. It's a very good port!
