It's like the Retron 5 all over again! Looking forward to shorting out your NES?
I really like these connectors, but they are 2.54mm. They "work" with NES carts, but aren't the 2.50mm ideal pitch. They have nice gold plating, make good contact with carts, and don't have a "death grip".

I wouldn't be surprised if they just placed an order with one of the clone console suppliers. Based off of gametechus' review video, it looks exactly the same as what has been used in the retron 5. Lots of people had trouble, yet there's always those who claim to have no problems.
A specific question that might be hard to answer at this point- is the cartridge significantly lower than with the original connector? Like it's noticeably more difficult to get games out because of the height difference?
I know that I'm reviving a dead thread, but I've been super impressed with this product thus far. I received it Thursday, and installed it that night. I've had a 100% success rate with all my tested / played games (7+), since the install. I open up and thoroughly clean every NES game that I receive, and just boiled my 72 pin connector 4 or 5 months ago. The boiling of the connector worked like a charm initially (even though it had a death grip), but it had been steadily getting worse the past couple of weeks. It was honestly becoming unreliable and starting to become an irritation. It's only been a few days, but it still does feel weird to not push the cart down prior to powering on the NES. Years (and years) of habit is going to be hard to break. LOL.
Needles to say, if you're on the fence, jump. Blinking Light Win greatly improves the reliability of the front loader, and we all know that the front loader is the iconic model. The top loader just doesn't look right.
I Bought a Toploader New. Never got into pushing the game down. I dont have nostalgia for it although i realize some do.
The Blw is good, but it needs to be redesigned a 3rd time. the cartridge sits too low in the tray and its hard to get your finger underneath it. I had to cut a Notch in my NES Lid so i could pull the game out better. after that, Its a great product that works as advertized.

I have no issues removing carts. Maybe I have small / thin fingers.
Removal isn't a problem once you get a fixed v2. If anything, they need to work on their quality control since they're shipping out the occasional v2 that has the same problem as v1, as I experienced with my first v2, which I had to have replaced.
