Only season I envy you people is summer really, one of those I might push beyond Lundun, to Scotland and the Orkneys see if I can give the Sun the finger "try to burn me now asshole!", like.
Wait until you visit Québec, hehe. The winter here is a whole 'nother level of cold.
Average temp here near Québec City and in the Côte-Nord region is close to -20 Celsius, and it's not rare to hit -30! And that's without the wind and humidity factors! It's a little bit warmer around Montréal, of course.

Having said that, I love winter :o It just feels natural to me, I love to go outside and feel the frisk air hit my face(I can't tolerate heat for shit!)

Oh yeah, I most definitely distinguish annoying, damp English cold from the brutal dry North America/Canada sort. At least where I am near the coast, you never get that intensity that almost feels like a light, burning grip on the skin. I was once dumb enough to walk around winter Toronto in a tshirt and shitty windbreaker on an overseas highschool trip. Wasn't a great move but I do remember it!

That said when I've occasionally visited friends in Canada or Illinois at winter, the whole atmosphere still feels like an adventure (didn't see snow until I was like fifteen), so it doesn't even begin to register on a Little Annoyed Hell meter.

Meanwhile, here is almost 23ºC (feels like 25, mind you) and doesn't rain at all. Not usual, i tell you.
And since i live in a rural area where people burn their garbage instead of recycling (you pay a tax on your water bill whether you recycle or not, which is asinine), i can't open the damn windows for some fresh air.

I just listened to a mainstream radio that focuses on 80's music and culture (and has some good playlists and shows, i'll admit it) playing Amy Winehouse's Rehab. What the fuck, so you die and instantly become retro now?

I only have the space under my desk for one CRT, and my BVM doesn't have any sort of RF input (in case I ever have a console with only that that hasn't yet been documented on how to mod, or I'm just too scared to mod (like my NES 101, for instance) because I've already broken my VA3 Genesis 1 due to accidentally bridging two CPU traces when trying to recap it), and I can't find any demodulator (VCR is too much space), so I'm stuck using a consumer-grade CRT for now. :(

I also need to buy RGB cables for all my consoles and an RGB-to-YUV transcoder, but I don't have any way to do that because PayPal discontinued the student account, and my parents are too lazy to sign for a checking account at a local bank.

SKYKID, LIKE HE ALWAYS IS, WAS RIGHT ABOUT EARLIER!!! I WAS WRONG!!! I WAS BEING RETARDED AS USUAL!!! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING!!!

I'm reminded of an old quote from Seanbaby:
Image

The second nominee is the Dark Queen from Battletoads. She was really hot, but she was evil and spent most of her time trying to kill the toads Zitz, Rash, and Pimple. I'm not sure if it was intended, but this seemed like of a metaphorical interpretation of the young life of an undersexed Nintendo nerd. We didn't get to see much of her because Battletoads is so ridiculously hard, and after days of swearing at the Nintendo, even the slow witted kids realized they could get laid hundreds of times if they put as much effort into it as they did into Battletoads. Of course, they probably wouldn't find any chicks as hot as the Dark Queen.

People who either demand respect or try to justify their demands by explaining how disrespectful not complying to them would be. Bonus points if they are higher in a hierarchy.
For more than two decades, I have never seen someone do that who wasn't a patronizing prick that deserves nothing they asked for.
The notion of "respect" is supposed to be a two-way process but in my mind, it twisted into a doublespeak way of designating sugar-coated submission. :|

What's even the point of the Retron 5? It seems to me like it's just >$100 for dumbed-down versions of emulators you could get for free.

RPG bosses which overwhelm you with a particular status ailment to the extent that the battle is basically unwinnable the first time out unless you've consulted a guide.

Apparently, that shit don't fly in Cambodia. :o

"Creepy clown scaring villagers in Cambodia blown up by landmine"

Article text:
Spoiler
In what is probably one of the worst ways to go, an unidentified 25-year-old was chased into an active minefield by residents of Samraong, Cambodia after running around the village in a creepy clown mask. According to Times of Cambodia, the man has yet to be identified, but is believed to be a local who spent several years studying abroad in the U.S. and recently returned home for a family visit.

The local police captain told the news outlet that a group of witnesses arrived at the police station and reported an “evil spirit” that was roaming the streets, wielding a machete, and “peering into homes” of several residents.” Most of the locals hid from the specter, but some of them charged at the man when they realized that he wasn’t a ghost, but just a dude in a mask.

“They didn’t want to hurt him,” said the police captain,” but they wanted to find out who it was and make him apologize to the people that he’d scared.”

Of course, he never got the chance to apologize because they unwittingly chased him straight into a minefield.

The villagers tried to warn the man to avoid the active explosives and come back, but he kept running. Their collective horror was realized a few minutes later when they heard an explosion.

A doctor was dispatched to the scene, but that turned out to be pointless as the body was “torn apart” as the man “didn’t stand a chance.”

Unfortunately, this man will now forever be known as a cautionary tale as to why you don’t terrorize your neighbors while dressed up as a creepy clown.

Not so much a boss, but ffffuck the Limewater Cave in Ys VI and its tendency to place enemies which deal different status ailment in every different zone, forcing you to constantly pause and equip different ailment resistant-accessories all the fucking time.

Indeed. Im having a hard time believing it due to its hilarity.
If the whole farce was captured on camera, preferably from multiple angles, it would go down as one of the comic displays of all time  and did the doctor really say that he "didn't stand a chance". Fuck me! Thats priceless! The doc also, had a bit of clown in him (or should that be, on him  )

Probably been said, but after this past week and a half, I'm wondering if people know what that stick does. You know, there's this stick that is really easy to use and it shows that you're going to make a turn! I'm getting tired of having to guess if people are going to turn or not lately, and then when somebody actually goes straight, it is like a miracle!

Does she do/pay her share at least ? I've experienced a similar situation (gf's sister) lazy af terminal level pothead, wouldn't even help with cleaning. If at least I'd been allowed to do her but the gf frowned at the idea (translate: I barely made it alive after suggesting that)
