Oh yes they are, think of it like how Japan was before cero. Also it might have to do with the fact that Play-Asia is a Hong Kong company and Eastasisoft was a company created specifically after Play-Asia saw the success of Last Hope on the Dreamcast.drunkninja24 wrote:Are the publishing rules for Asia more lax or something?
English speakers outside North America in general.drunkninja24 wrote:Are the publishing rules for Asia more lax or something? Seems odd they would actively promote an Asia release to a majority English-speaking audience
I think its one of the better designed games far as euroshmups goboagman wrote:Wow...actually, this looks pretty good, and for $25? Sounds even better.
What's the general consensus of the game on the PS3? Decent hori?
I really like this game. Beautiful HD graphics with fine fluency (running at 60 fps), very good soundtrack, excellent controls and a pleasant and entertaining gameplay.boagman wrote:Wow...actually, this looks pretty good, and for $25? Sounds even better.

Instead I am stuck in the America's where women rule with an iron crotch, and a man could get arrested for sitting behind a computer too long.
I ask, not because I disagree (no frame of reference with which to do so), but because I'd like the aforementioned frame of reference: can you cite a couple of examples of games (specifically horis) which would have thought put into level and boss design?Squire Grooktook wrote:I really hate it. No real thought put into level or boss design. All a splotch of random crap. Poorly paced and balanced too (and IIRC it's like an hour long, ugh).
I guess you might say it's playable by euroshmup standards, but that's like saying it's the most enjoyable kick in the balls.
Honestly, Sine Mora might be a better game. At least it's not as repetitive and tries for a soul of its own (albeit a terribly conceived one).

I appreciate the clarification. I'm certain that I can't agree with *every* Darius, but enough of your examples were clarification enough.Squire Grooktook wrote:Every Darius, every Gradius (cept maybe Arcade 3, and even then, more a lack of testing/balancing), every R-Type except Final, Pulstar, Blazing Star, Progear, Deathsmiles, Metal Back, etc. off the top of my head.
Soldnerx2 is just monotonous, repetitive, and takes too long imo. It's a classic weak euroshmup through and through.
I realize that English is not your first language, and I'm honestly not trying to poke fun here, but could you explain what "loseless format" is in different terms? It's a strange term that I can't quite understand the meaning of...KoolKool993 wrote:i really want to buy soldnerx 2 soundtrack in loseless format, and no for CD....

Wasn't trying to be a problem...was just trying to understand. Sorry if there was any misunderstanding. I still don't know what you were referring to, but that's okay. I can live in ignorance.KoolKool993 wrote:geez, i'm east asian you know,my english is sometime broken like that,sr if it's problem for you!
