Super fun game! Should be a new long-term project for me. Looking forward to improving and such.

Got pretty lucky on the st. 4 boss, getting behind the last phase's green spear cannon and quick killing it with the lard from that point. Didn't lose a life on that phase, and finished off with a life in stock. Wow!

I just captured the video this evening and will post it to my Youtube over the weekend. There's still loads of room for improvement... particularly in stage 5... plus I messed up cashing in at the stage 3 boss.

started sinking time into mmp yesterday. I've been playing in tate so I can't see the rank which sucks. not trying to milk either, but st2 boss was a big hurdle that I can now get through clean. hidden 1up is surprisingly easy to cheese, but end of stage 3 now wrecks me (I've gotten through unscathed a few times).
made it past the stage 4 mid boss till I panicked (died at the part right after the diving ships). hope to make more progress soon.

You can move the rank bar to where you want on the screen, but I just got rid of it since it's pretty useless.

lost 4 lives with bomb stock throughout the stage in st4, but managed to get the st4 boss to his last phase. finally figures out the diving plane section but the part that follows is brutal along with the boss.

new high score

first time past 1st mid boss stage 5. s4 boss is a bomb fest for me. went into stage 5 with 4 lives, 3 of which I lost on those dumb laser turrets. especially hard when the jet fighters are throwing their straight shot patterns that basically make a wall in front of the turret.

Twitch replay: https://www.twitch.tv/aquas/v/100987328

I have a slightly better 1.01 score of 307 mil but I'll wait to submit a better score. Still nippin' away! Tried the other characters (Mostly Ikuo) out but the stability Momo gets from her faster activating lard, and wide shot are vital to me. Starting to really understand survival for many sections in the loop, but still need to pin down MANY scoring opportunities. I get so frustrated playing this when I make mistakes or drop the medal chain, I think it's because I see all those opportunities become blunders sometimes. Trying to adjust my emotions while playing, but this game really takes you for a ride, especially when you have 25+ lives to lose.

I was also fairly surprised in that Harahara run, I squeezed nearlyu 7 mil out of the last boss. Including some bomb milking on the last phase. Wow!

Glad to see you picking it up too, Some-Mist! I rave about Pork quite a bit now that it got me hooked. I hope I don't get burnt out but so far its just a ton of fun. It quickly rose to be one of my fave Cave / YGW / STG titles.

Planning on it, DEL!

Btw, I have a Rafute 1.01 Harahara 185M and Ikuo is proving to be very difficult for me to even clear 1.01 Harahara with or get more than 130M.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, tables should be all caught up now. Let me know if I missed anything, I'm getting old so it's possible lol.

Good to see some activity here again. May the Pork be with you!!

Ikuo is an aquired taste and I've never aquired it
NTSC-J and awo are extremely good with that slow character, but its just not for me. Might not be right for you either. Play to your strengths and ignore any characters that may prove to be consistently troublesome for your particular skillset.

Btw. Matsuri Mode is a lot of fun for SCOAR :!:

Aquas - 341,872,900 - 2-ALL - Ikuo

Twitch highlight: https://t.co/MHU1C9JPm8

I feel like Ikuo shines decently when she's at Max power, but still feeling the character out, same with Rafute. It kind of surprises me that jumping from character to character isn't as drastic of a change of play in most cases, and makes using the other characters really fun to try. I finally did a Normal course run here in 1.01 again and crushed my old PB. But my potential is definitely looking closer to 370 mil or so, especially once I get a proper Momo normal run in.

Btw, DEL! MorceauFeve is on the 1.01 Manpuku leaderboards with a 2-4 Momo run, accomplished just in the past few days! You may have a challenger approaching, sir. Also I finally watched your Manpuku run, and showed it on my stream to boot. Insane stuff! Grats again.

Cheers Aquas,

Nice 341mil score. You could definitely beat my 380mil with Momo.
MorceauFeve has done well, but he'll find that the last two stages of Manpuku's 2nd loop require entering ST2-4 with at least 4 lives, otherwise all completion bets are off.
I'm currently playing Sega's old SONIC BOOM. I'll open up a Hi Sc thread for it.

Regs,
