I hooked everything up to my (older) SHARP HDTV and there was no problem. Display mode says 480i but looks great.BazookaBen wrote:You should also test with the 9A60 on the other HDTV.
RE: I'm wondering if my Samsung TV is missing components that my SHARP TV uses to filter out excess power on signal lines. Maybe I need to order some capacitors for my cable?
My (newer) Samsung sets the display mode at 720x240p but has those faint yellow bars that are noticeable with darker colors on screen.

I'm just going to mention it because I really love my old SHARP AQUOS and I'd still be using it today if not for one problem. When you turn it on, everything works great and looks amazing. The problem is, when you power it off and then back on again - it gets distorted vertical lines on one half of the screen. I replaced the power supply board but that didn't fix the issue. I used to leave it on for months at a time (not a great solution) but it worked. Then if the power got interrupted, I would get the stupid lines again. I could usually get the lines to go away by cycling the power ON/OFF multiple times. Until one time it got so bad I had to go buy this new Samsung TV lol
