The Future of SHMUP Collecting

Post by Ceph »

Will you continue to collect rare shmups and pay high sums of money on the secondary market if shady companies like Gamequest Direct issue indistinguishable reprints of old and rare games?

After all, if you strip away the ideational value connected with rarity, the value of raw materials alone is pretty low for any game.

I play games for their gaming value. Is it too much to stop spamming the main board with futile obssessions about collecting and copies? Thanks in advance for any reply which will show some degree of rationality, instead a blind crusade against the "omg now my precious and unplayed games aren't worth money anymore!".

I do believe one thread for this subject is quite enough, thankyewverymuch.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
