hello and thanks for reading.. basic question.. I have an LCD with HDMI, DVI and VGB input 1080p.. I have an nVidia video card 970 with HDMI and DVI.. the setup is mainly for fighting games from steam games so I am looking for the best response and video quality on the 1080p LCD monitor to the video card.. My question, is the any video quality different, better from VDI-VGA adapter to VGA on the LCD or DVI to DVI or HDMI to HDMI. What about response time? which one has the best response time VGA, DVI or HDMI? or there is not difference on the input and the end results is the same on video and response time going to VGA, DVI or HDMI???.. thanks for reading and for your response.
Connection which one is better, video quality wise and input response time wise?
1..DVI-VGA adapter from video card to VGA on the LCD
2. DVI from video card to DVI to LCD monitor
3. HDMI from video card to HDMI to LCD
thanks

Straight DVI or HDMI connections skip an analog conversion that causes some quality loss.
HDMI and DVI should perform exactly the same, though there's a chance your TV applies some different settings to either input. Just guessing DVI is slightly more likely to auto-select some PC centric options for lower input lag but that's just a guess.

VGA is worst video quality wise.
VGA and DVI might on TVs trigger some specific PC modes that might reduce input lag or result in more better colors and a less processed image, but for computer monitors this rarely applies.
Go with DVI or HDMI. You won't notice the difference between them (and there likely won't be any).
