*Meow* I am as serious as a cat could possible be. *Meow*
The main difference is that the screens are brighter and there's a contrast control dial.
Technically you have a contrast control on all these handhelds, but it's not really accessable per se, you have to gut the system and then manually adjust it, not really meant for consumer use. A lot of people did this as a fix for their original model GBAs though.

More comparison pics can be found here and here is a vid on youtube comparing the two.
I don't think we know enough right now to say everything that will chance... E3 i guess, there is no guarantee that they will not change more than the looks and the brightness of the screen.

The DS Lite comes out in Japan March 2. I'm pretty sure everything important has already been revealed.Platypus[gEc] wrote:I don't think we know enough right now to say everything that will chance... Agreed though, it seems kind of soon. Though I think this is more to clinch people that were on the fence about getting one, so EVERYONE that plays games will have a DS instead of many people that play games.
I lost the site but a survey said that sixty percent of DS owners in Japan are excited about the DS Lite and are going to pick one up at launch, so the market is definitely present on that side of the planet.
That said, who knows how "soon" it will actually come out in the US? Maybe not til this November?

And then the next version will have online pictochat, classic GB compatibility, ect.
It's good to dream, isn't it?
However, remember to take something out from the new version as well: Nintendo's rule: you add something good but you also screw something so you cannot ever have the best option possible.
