I not have familiarity with shmupsmame, is totally different from wolfmame, is available a video in youtube?
I'm using shmame 4.2. I'm thinking about making a real nice video, with comments on the side.

Congrats! I'm somewhat surprised it took you less than a hundred full runs to get the RNG you needed :P

Well here's the video, but I didn't actually add the comments because I just couldn't get it to look any good. I blame the fact that the game is vertizontal and I'm bad at video editing. So there's not actually that much value in this video since it's the same as all my others except that mambo appears at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEtRBybEL48

Nice, solid play and that Mambo is such a weird encounter haha.
For commentary, maybe add some youtube annotations? They'll still overlap a bit of the action but you can toggle them on/off while watching.

Fishman even appeared in the best place during a very strong run, so the final score was much better than I was hoping for. I would've settled for 3.2m. Next I want to learn Sonic Wings Limited / SW4 (not PSX version). I think the west record for it is low right now.

Here is a zip file which contains 3 things - https://www.sendspace.com/file/7l0oed
1) All my .inp files
2) A program I made to resize the MAME window, because it always annoyed me starting minimized.
3) Fixed sound engine working for aero fighters 2 / sonic wings 2. It stops the frequent sound crashing you get on MAME, but doesn't effect the game.
I don't have much to say beyond "outstanding work". In honour of this momentus event, I've updated the topic. Well done.

Thanks all and thanks for updating the thread yet again. Currently having a good time learning new shmups.

Also, one thing I should mention is my immense stupidity. A month ago I got an even better "normal" score in sw2, it was 3,041,300 or something like that. It was better than my old 3.03m score. But I accidentally deleted the replay like an idiot. I didn't save a screenshot either. Only one person on my stream even remembers seeing it. That was a really godlike run and lucky too, but no mambo of course. Ah well whatever.

Good job KoopaTGR

And that reminded me to finish the sw2 score guide video. It took so long because I couldn't think of much to say about the run other than "just memorize the whole game". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb_-lt9snLM

Amazing. In that zip is "075-m1.m1" which is the fixed sound driver for sw2, because the sound crashes a lot on mame. At least that is saved.

Its the 20th submission for the SW/AF3 scoreboard so I'm ok with that. The submarine/ship graveyard is only worth it on the 1st loop; 2nd loop, yeah, don't bother.
