So, for a laugh I put "ガーディック外伝" into GIS. Result 16 appears to be a Yahoo Auction of a poster of said artwork. Unfortunately the auction page no longer exists...

Well, that reminds me that the booklet illustration is tinier but not hampered by the gold medallion on the cover:
