NEC XV29 plus - OK to switch from 480i to 480p while on?

Hi guys - I have an NEC XV29+ monitor I'm using with GameCube. With the monitor powered up, will it damage or stress the monitor to switch from 480i to 480p when starting up GC games? I know that some 31khz arcade monitors don't like this & wondered if the NEC might be similarly affected. I could start the game and select 480p while the monitor is off but it's a pain as each game has different selection point/times...

Yes. The monitor can switch resolutions on the fly.

Yes. It is a multisync monitor. It was made to do what you describe.
