thanks a lot man. one step closer. The sync cable was definitely in the wrong place but the picture was still screwed. After messing with some of the buttons on the left of the panel I got the image perfect. Full, bright and crisp. I've never seen such stunning crt picture.

unfortunately the thing forgets my settings every time I change channel? Got to figure out how to save and to set up for different systems.

I will connecting my pc up soon via VGA to bnc and soft 15hz the graphics card. For all emulation needs...

Thing is I have a few other bits of hardware that I want to hook up to it. A c64 via scart (composite I think rather than s video) and a speccy using rf.. Got a feeling that these will prove troublesome.

I have a few PCMCIA cards lying around. Will any card work to save configs or is it a specific Sony card?

Cheers again.

unless you have an additional decoder card installed (e.g. a BKM-21D) you cannot use composite (or s-video) sources. The stock board can only do component and RGB. And certainly no RF for your Spectrum.

no need. The PCMCIA slot is just for carrying over configs from one monitor to the other. Whatever you're changing to make your Amiga look good should get saved - at least once you do it through the menu instead of using temporary adjustments.

Hi again. I think I have the card you mentioned installed.

Seen here:

Got a few questions if u don't mind:

1: If that bigger card is a BKM-21D I think I just need to get another one of these cables - https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/son ... verter-bnc and then plug the C64s video out to scart into it. Then I can buy a few BNC to RCA adapters so I can get the audio into my amplifier?

2: There seems to be no sync on the BKM-21D? I was hoping to use it as a secondary input to attach my PC via VGA to RGB scart. Is it possible or do I have to keep swapping it over with my Amigas via the BVMs stock card? Maybe a VGA to scart would be more appropriate so I can stick all RGB sources into one scart splitter.

3: These buttons, shift, sync rgb etc don't make any sense to me? I press them randomly and I eventually (if im lucky) get the right picture. Can you please explain them to me? Also how is it done in menu and how can it be saved?

4: Once the video is perfectly set is there ways to expand and zoom in the picture. I think I found options in the menu to over and under scan as well as ways to manually adjust the image horizontally and vertically. The Amiga quite often displays games in a strange way. Sometimes their full screen; other times borders are present and then sometimes the whole picture is slightly to the left or right (like Turrican 2) Monitors such as the 1084S had easy access controls on the front to shift and expand the image. I'm guessing that I have to go into the menu and adjust it in the way I stated above?

Hope that wasn't too many questions... I'm still trying to get my head around all this..
I'm sure more fun will follow when I try to set up the PCs 15hz software/video card output.

Edit: Today I powered on the BVM and it was emitting a Buzzing, Hissing and squealing noise.
It was quite loud and annoying. After about 20 mins it calmed down. Do you know what it could be? Faling Flyback or just dust or moisture?
You can listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Lc6Ho ... e=youtu.be (sounds louder that in the video)
