New baby (PVM 1454qm)

Post by armorharmer »

Hello Guys!

I have a new member of the PVM family - 1454QM! I am waiting for it to arrive.

As I mentioned in other post, I had problems with PVM20M2MDE.
I used this scheme for the scart cable:

And I plugged BNC connectors in B channel (only one sync plug on B channel).

Now with PVM 1454QM I have sync IN and sync OUT (only one channel). Can somebody give me a scheme for that? If I plug PVM 20M2MDE in line A which has sync IN and OUT the picture rolls. I guess it will go same with 1454QM.

Thanks!

If you're using this cable in the direction FROM scart to RCA/BNC than your sync needs to connect to pin 20 instead of 19, since scart pin 20 is the "video/sync output" on a male scart connector.

Thanks!

17 and 20 together, or just 20?

17 is ok. Just 20 instead of 19.

On a console scart cable there just isn't anything going to pin 19.

BTW: if you're not connecting your console cable directly to the adapter, but through a coupler (or a scart switch) then the pins reverse and 19 is correct instead of pin 20. But then you cannot directly connect your source cable to the adapter cable any longer.
If I plug PVM 20M2MDE in line A which has sync IN and OUT the picture rolls
you might just have to terminate the loop output.

No, this is cable going from monitor and then going to scart switch.
So, male scart on one side and bnc connectors on the other (going to PVM).

Ok, maybe mention this in your opening post next time

Then your pinout is correct. Look into terminating the output. BNC termination plugs (75ohm) are easily available and cheap.

Termination = one input (for combined sync) and going to two inputs that go inside of sync IN and OUT. OK, understood.

Now I tried one sync, and one audio rca jack (that one going to nowhere). I got picture, but it's little shaky, not rolling around...

Oh man, sorry, termination means adapter from rgb cinches to bnc, I got that part, I already have cables that work on pvm20m2mde, but only on B input, on A I got a little shaky picture or rolling one...

No, termination means you put a BNC termination plug on the output corresponding with whichever input you're using (A/B).
