Medium resolution RGB to YPbPr transcoder
I've got the JRoc 4.1 and it does great on the low res but does anyone know of a medium resolution one or a DIY for a medium resolution one? I don't need a fancy XRGB-Mini and all of it's processing effects.

Not really sure what you mean by "medium resolution", but the AA 9A60 can do both RGBs and RGBHV and accept at least up to 1024x768.

By "medium resolution", he is referring to games that run at a horizontal scan rate of 24KHz. I am honestly uncertain myself if any HD-capable television can even sync to that (which is generally around the ballpark of 384p resolution).

HDTV's do not accept 24khz.

The added interlacing might not be the most perfect way to display 24khz signals, but it's certainly the cheapest one, since Extron VSC units can be picked up starting from $50. The Extron scan converters do not add additional lag.

There's also the Extron DVS 304 if one wants cheap 24khz upscaling, but isn't docevil000 asking for a transcoder instead of an upscaler ?

I was going to say that I can't even fathom a reason why someone would need/want such a converter for medium resolution. Are there any displays at all that will sync to 24k over component other than ones which are already RGB compatible? It's not really answering the question, but I'm definitely curious!

Transcoders are resolution independent though. Only problem is one one designed only to be used with 15khz signals might not have enough bandwidth for 24khz signals. But if it can handle 31khz it can handle all signals below as well.
