Hello. I'm having trouble with my PVM 14N2E. The picture is not filling the entire screen, leaving horizontal black bars at the top and bottom. This is one of the lower-end models of PVM without all the fancy buttons or menu options, so I can't figure out how to adjust the geometry manually... The picture looks squashed, circles are elipses. Wondering if there's any way to adjust the picture that I'm not aware of?
PAL SNES is outputting via RGB using SNES PAL (Luma) Scart cable into a Euroscart to BNC (C-sync) adaptor.
Menu+enter for 3 seconds might work for the service menu... look for "v size 50" or similar.
What you are seeing is the expected result for an unoptimized PAL game... if you adjust the overscan optimized PAL titles on PS1 etc. will have too much cut off on the top/bottom.
Yes, perfectly normal for a pal snes game. You will see that If you would mod your snes to output 60hz, that the 'bars' will be gone. But for now this is as it is supposed to be.
