HDTV Repair Question

I have a SHARP HDTV from 2009 (LC40LE700UN) that has botched settings in the service menu that is preventing it from powering on the back light and LCD panel for more than three seconds. It's heat thresh hold is set to 55F for some reason and being in Arizona there is no way I am going to get this bitch down to 55F this time of year to get it to fully power on.

I can get a new controller board for it and changing that out is not too bad but my question is does the controller board actually hold the service menu settings and whatnot. Basically I need to know what part of the TV houses the saved settings and replace it.

The controller board part is RUNTK4225TP but I am unsure if this is the part that holds the service menu information and settings.

No I was not, but the serial port on the back of the TV is telling me the EPP or whatever it is is tripping the heat alarm at 55F (The TV has a way to report errors via serial connections). The TV has over 30,000 hours on it, its electronics are starting to go. Regardless though that does not really answer or pertain to what I asked.

**EDIT** I took apart the TV again today and some components are actually fried. It looks like the controller and power board are taking a shit. I'm just going to replace both of them.
