I love this game and I did my absolute best to do justice to what makes it such a thrilling arcade experience and the fundamental reasons why it's markedly different from the PSP version. I hope it comes across.
Being that I first experienced DBAC in Casino arcade, sadly dead, there's also a small tribute to London's last standing mainstream arcade. Those who went there should appreciate the memories. They were good times.
Oh, and I managed to get Iryllian immortalised.
EDIT: Oh and thanks to AC Seraph for permission to use his Darius photo - looks like they decided to go with it!
Should it ever arrive in the home, one hopes there's an option to couple two monitors together to replicate the arcade's Guinness World Record holding 32:9 aspect ratio.
but isn't the original 3-monitor Darius wider at 3x 4:3 = 12:3 = 36:9 ? Or maybe the guiness record refers to the actual width of the gaming screen(s) ?

I questioned this too, and Taito also proclaiming the DBAC machine as a "32:9" on their official site.
In the end I just accepted it has WR and that's that. Darius actually has a GWR for first game to have boss warnings - and I'm not sure if that's accurate either.

Nope, all gone!
Perhaps Chris will translate this one for you too.
I hope so.
DBAC is one of the best arcade I ever played,it is very unfortunately that all of these machine are gone in London.
Next week I will go to the Greenwich for my education. Is there any other arcade in London?

Thanks brah, really happy you read it as a fellow fan (and friend of course! ) Hopefully see you next month if you're available? English Ale and bangers and mash is my dream evening out at the mo.
Edit:@DKA all hope is not lost! If you're in London find the Heart of Gaming. Not too STG heavy but a great gaming community.

Great article. I'm not really that familiar with the Casino but I managed to get there a couple of times. I was lucky enough to get to there back in 2012 but only had time to play for about 10 minutes! It is now my life's goal to be reunited with this game.
It was a real privelege to play that machine - lucky i paid a visit to London at the right time. Even though I live 300 miles north i miss the Casino badly.
On one of my sporadic visits to the capital, if nothing else of note happened, then i could always rely on the Casino for a memorable day. There was always a shmup there that I hadn't seen before thanks to the community that inhabited the place. What the hell do you guys do now ??
Shoot, dodge, collect . . .it's the ONLY way to be !!
