Someone on a previous thread suggested I recap my deflection block in order to fix my geometry issues as well as a rainbow banding issue I had with my NES. Is this hard? Will it work?
Also, the tally lamp got pushed inward (I'm an idiot and I thought it was a button); can I reattach it to the front? It looks better that way.

Re: BVM-20F1U Deflection Block Recap Questions
No it will not fix those light bars, I told you its from having the H-Size to big. Its just something the NES does on that monitor when the horizontal size is too big, it does it stock with composite as well. Even my old BVM-14F5U which had 6000 hours and a fully recapped deflection block had them. The NES will show those regardless of a recap.atheistgod1999 wrote:Someone on a previous thread suggested I recap my deflection block in order to fix my geometry issues as well as a rainbow banding issue I had with my NES. Recapping a deflection block can correct geometry issues. In most cases doing so corrected geometry issues when I recapped deflection cards on BVM's and deflection circuits on PVM's. If a recap and settings adjustment does not fix it your BVM has much more serious issues.
All this is being discussed in your previous thread, another thread was not necessary.
