PS2 Controller Alternatives

Post by mamboFoxtrot »

Sorry if this doesn't really deserve its own thread, but does anyone either know of an adapter that would connect a PS3 or 360 controller to a PS2, or know of a PS2 controller that has the positions of the D-Pad and left analogue stick switched?

Only thing that comes to mind is a PS1/PS2 padhack + undamned's USB decoder.

If all you care about is being able to swap that left stick to a higher position, this is about your only choice for PS2. I have one and I don't think it's a very good pad, maybe in hands smaller than mine. It just feels awfully short.

Thanks!

Making the stick and d-pad actually switchable is probably one of the weirdest controller features I've seen. The Amazon reviews make me feel a bit iffy on it, but I suppose I might gamble on it someday, if only for lack of choice otherwise. How long have you owned/used it? I've had some 3rd party controllers fall apart on me after a few months.

I've had it maybe seven years. It's sturdy enough, it's just really, really short.
