Cyber Sprite (My self-made game)

Post by shark0r »

I am a doujin/indie game developer from Taiwan. And this is my work of shooting game with some friends' help.

The main characters are humanized programming languages with so-called moe-humanized style. They are "Cyber Sprites" which help their masters (programmers) to do various works. Let's see how they tag together to accomplish hard tasks.

The programming languages in this game are Basic, Tcl, and Lua (and +α). Other languages may appear in our next games.

Although the story is based on programming, the gameplay itself is standard shooting game, and no programming knowledge is needed.

The style is horizontal scrolling with terrain and various gimmicks, like R-Type and Gradius, not the bullet-hell style.

Currently the text of the game is Chinese and it's released in Taiwan only. I do plan to release it on Steam, but I need Japanese and English translators.

A news about 1 year late... I have done English and Japanese translations in 2018 and the game was on sale on DLsite.

Game information (English and Chinese)

DLsite download pages
Taiwan Japan English
These are different regions of DLsite's store. The downloaded contents are the same.

Steam is also considered, but I have not decided when to do.

I am developing the next game "Cyber Sprite 2" now. More programming languages will appear. But the developing progress is very slow due to lack of graphic staff.

1.06 patch released
Fixed these problems
- A Gallery item never appears in the game.
- manual.htm cannot display pages properly when browser's language setting is certain languages.

Informations and downloading
These are informations written in different languages. The downloaded patch file are the same.
Chinese
English
Japanese

Although the game has been released for a while, I didn't realized these problems until I reviewed my file converting tool a few days ago.
1.04 and older didn't have the Gallery item problem, but I edited the file converting tool mistakenly when making 1.05, and this caused the bug in 1.05.
