Thanks to BIL for pointing me in a fruitful direction, Blackoak for lending a hand in the translation clarification, DJ Katie Se7en for handling the translation entire, and Albert Micky for agreeing to reveal all about such an awesome game.
All your credits and hyperlinks are weirdly absent from the article, I'm going to shoot an email to the editorial powers to try to find out where they've gone.
You really feel for these guys and the passion they had. However, pushing one self to the point of illness is a bad move; no one can benefit from your work when you die too early.
In a way there is a lot to be said for disassembling gamecode and you learn so much in a way by "studying the classics".
Many kudos for producing a stylish, high-quality game-journo article - a rare bird indeed. Man, a shmup article that discusses play mechanics in-depth? Whoa. Unfortunately my bank account is not for terminating, so I admire from afar.
You have to appreciate Albert Micky's willingness to shed light into all that golden-age stuff. Guy always comes off as very nice.

great writing in that article, glad i could be a small part of it! very nice to see all the "more like this!" encouragement in the comments. see, people really aren't as dumb as your average games journalism fluff piece would have us believe.

Ms. Katie Se7en did a great job (thanks to her!) but your assistance was invaluable for those areas of doubt. I hope this drives some traffic to your awesome site.
