PS360+ doesn't work with touhou
My joystick will not register in touhou. It registers fine in Utra Street Fighter IV and all my 360 shooters so I have no idea why it doesn't work.

Install a workaround like Xpadder and you should be fine.

Moved this one to our Hardware section. You might find a bit more help on this one there anyhow.

Re: PS360+ doesn't work with touhou
I suspect the PS360+ is defaulting to "DP" (digital pad) mode for the joystick when you connect it to your PC. This is fine for most modern stuff (especially console ports), but many other games and especially doujin games (like Touhou) weren't designed with this in mind and won't recognize d-pad input.
I don't own a PS360+, but I'm certain there is a way to switch the joystick mode from "DP" to "LS" (left stick) so that Windows registers the input as joystick input (X/Y axis) instead of a digital pad/POV hat. There should some button combination or other to press, either when you're plugging in the stick, or I think you can switch on-the-fly as well. Check the documentation for whichever firmware you're running.

You have to hold Select, LP, MP, HP - release and then hit Left with your joystick - then Start to save the setting for LS. DP is default, or joystick Up. RS is joystick Right.shmuppyLove wrote:I suspect the PS360+ is defaulting to "DP" (digital pad) mode for the joystick when you connect it to your PC. For some reason though, mine doesn't seem to remember so I have to set it each time I plug the stick in. Isn't especially difficult but a little annoying.

I would have never guessed that button combo lol. I'm guessing that's why it worked with my Mc Cthulu before I switched to a PS360+. Thank you man.speedlolita wrote:You have to hold Select, LP, MP, HP - release and then hit Left with your joystick - then Start to save the setting for LS. DP is default, or joystick Up. Cthulhu does it a bit differently on the PC -- it sends the input as both POV hat and joystick for exactly this reason.
I think there is a way to force one or the other as well if software is picky or will accept both, can't remember off the top of my head.
