Wrong, I own this and it's indeed a Hamster re-release of the Japanese revision of Raiden Project (annoyances intact) but with Raiden II mysteriously missing from the package.

thanks for the info people - i had trouble finding info on this ANYWHERE else on the internet - which confirms the shmups forum as the BEST resource for this kind of stuff
dont think i will be getting this now if there is no Raiden 2 on there, not a big fan of original raiden anyways
If you have a Supergun or arcade cabinet setup, then naturally picking up either the original Japanese or USA Bios region of Seibu Kaihatsu's Raiden II arcade Jamma PCB would the best way to play Raiden II PCB in it's "purest" state with a true analog RGB monitor. A shmupper can't getting any better arcade Raiden II experience than with that setup. ^_~
Sure, I've got the USA PSX version of Raiden Project (with both Raiden & Raiden II shmups) when it was selling a mere $19.99 USD at my local Kaybee Toys store back in October 1998. But playing Raiden II on the PSX isn't the same as playing with the real actual arcade board hardware -- very different experience between the two platforms: home game console vs. arcade board hardware...
