Favorite Current-Gen Shmuping Platform
Hey All,
I'm an indie dev working on a twin-stick shmup and I'm wondering what your most used or favorite current-gen shmuping platform is.
The poll can only do 10 options, so please use other if your platform isn't listed.
Thanks!

Voted 'other' because: Xbox 360.
It's still alive (will be until the end of 2016 AFAIK) and by far carries the most shmups.
PC would rank second.

I would sure love to use my Wii U for shmups, but I don't know of any new ones on there right now (maybe you'll be cornering the market?)
PS1 Disc-Based Game ID BIOS patch for MemCard Pro and SD2PSX automatic VMC switching.

I voted PC, though I would also love a great shmup on the Wii U.

360 without a doubt. If it weren't for the region lock on a select few titles, I wouldn't own any STG on PS3.
That being said, I can't recommend anyone release an indie game on the 360 these days. PS4 and/or PC is the way to go right now.

Re: Favorite Current-Gen Shmuping Platform
Current gen? As in Wii U, PS4, and Xbone?
Do they have any shmups?
I have to go with PC, because at least I can play old shmups on it. And there's some newer ones on it as well. Not many, but a couple.
I'll be surprised if we get many new shmups on the "current gen" consoles.
The only reason that Xbox 360 is such a favorite, is because CAVE went gonzo, and released tons of games on it. But they're practically dead now. Who is going to fill the void? Moss? I don't think so.
At best, maybe we'll get some nice compilations or HD remasters. AT BEST.

Thanks for voting everybody =]
Interesting results so far. Saw the PC thing coming, but didn't expect interest in Wii U.
And I totally understand about the XBox 360. I still use my previous gen consoles all the time.
All three current gen consoles have indie programs now. Not sure how difficult it is to get approved (my team and I will find out soon I guess) - but maybe small indies will be able to fill the void since we don't need to make a bajillion dollars off our titles.
Keep the votes coming!

Voted PS4 because PCs are mostly for Excel and porn.

Consoles are fun, but at the end of the day, there's a personal computer I can always count on (especially if it runs debian).

18 votes and PC is in the lead, but it also sounds like everybody loves their consoles too. Also, glad to see a Linux fan in here too =]
I set no end date on the poll, so latecomers please feel free to vote!
