Wanton vandalism from that perennial fuckup Santos, as if his mislaying of precious heli STG history wasn't enough.

About to get on a plane to Shanghai. This morning I landed the best job I've ever had in my life in the world's most economically exciting country. Now sitting in Starbucks in a five day old airport trying out the brand new Macbook Air my employer handed me this afternoon.
Life is fucking good today. Let's hope I have a safe flight!

Mine wasn't really an interview. It was more the boss saying they need me, they want me, waving the Mac Air under my nose and then pitching me a quite splendid offer. I said I'd go home and sleep on it and come back in the morning with an answer, which I did, only I gave a small speech on why I'm bringing a huge amount of value to the business and then asked for 20% more money and an extra four days off a month - which they promptly agreed to.
University is for suckers.
Also I didn't die on the plane and I'm now chilling in Shanghai, which means this is officially one of the best days of one of - if not the - best years of my life. Good times.

Great, more wood to the fire on Immigration politics in the UK. And of course it had to be a Portuguese citizen to make matters worse.

I always just assumed you roamed around China getting plastered, playing arcade games, and watching Hollywood blockbusters, Skykid. Kinda disappointed you have a job.

Actually that's pretty accurate. I came here self-employed, and have been so since 2009, after which I swore I'd never work for anyone else again.
This is a little different however.

Charles Barkley in CDW ads
"...really?"
Just saw the time travel one - there's a link to it here. I'm disappointed that the piece didn't say that Barkley looked terrible in his time travel outfit. That's terrible. Bye Doug!

Playing 2P with my real WonderSwan and my new WS emulator. Played a few rounds of GunPey with a friend courtesy of this. So much excitement!

Ha! I wonder if I've ever passed this guy on the roads (West Main and M43...pretty much everybody goes through that, was wondering if that was my old car waiting to turn in to Maple Hill Auto around the 4 minute mark). I haven't seen any driving quite like this though! I'd be scared of talking to the sherrif, too, if I drove like that...and let's hope this put the shame and fear into him to drive better.
Also, I was hangin' out with the chill blue planets with that soundtrack :3
Dude, though, what IS up with the MI-AZ connection?

My favourite band of miserable indie kids (Los Campesinos!) released a Christmas EP and it's wonderfully festive and petulant.

I can't believe they're still going! I was dragged to see Los Camp many times in my undergraduate days. I guess they're pretty inoffensive really.

Re: ... and it made me smile.
I was walking home from the games night I do at my local pub with a few hundred quids worth of stuff on me and I had the thought "what if someone mugged me now?".
Doesn't sound great, but my next thought was - "They can take my phone or my wallet, but they ain't taking my stick". I immediately thought of the Rifleman's Creed:
This is my stick. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Seriously though, you can take my VX-SA over my dead body.

You say inoffensive but I say spectacular, I have no real basis for this opinion other than I've always loved them and always will.

Love finding out you have another week of winter break when you think it's almost over. I have another week to go before I have to worry about shit again.

Watching old shows set in a future that's already passed by now. According to the bulk of them, we should have hoverboards, flying cars, robots big and small, and DEADLY LAZAH BEAMZZ, but still be using CRTs, wired phones, and floppy disks. Always worth a giggle.
Also, the "recommended for you" section of pretty much anything. "Because you purchased Strider 2 (PS1 classic), you should try Zumba Fitness and Duck Dynasty: The Game!" or "Because you watched Space Dandy, you should watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex!"
wat
I hear the Xbone and PS4 have some feature where they pre-stream games based on your playing history before suggesting them to you. I imagine its a massive waste of bandwidth.

Breaking: A plucky tourist has had his asshole blown out by an angry bull, at an Angry Bull Fiesta in Spain. And It Made Me SADISM Part II: The SEQUEL (not quite as good as the original, unfortunately).

Don't get me wrong, I eat animals by truckload, but I be LOLin HARD @ these chumps! WTF is the point? I hope the glory of (failing to) flee angry herbivores is worth the complications, bro! :[ *poot*
