Raiden V for Xbox One in 2015

i'll be honest: i have never been able to play iv. it's a shame, yes. never have had a 360, never have had a copy of the game. i've seen videos, if that matters.

Raiden IV is on PS3 now, so no excuses anymore.

Yeah, if Raiden did end up getting a 3d spinoff, it would probably get a subtitle like Raiden Gaiden, or Raiden Unbound.

I still need to play Raiden 4, but 360 discs for the game are getting pricy... I suppose I could just buy a Microsoft point card for the $20 digital version, but I prefer to have physical copies...

It's certainly worth getting the physical USA 360 version of Raiden IV as it comes with an exclusive Raiden IV arranged music CD as well. It made it's debut back in 2009 at the MSRP of $39.99 USD back in the day. I pre-ordered one at the local Gamestop and sure enough, they only got in four copies max upon initial debut release day (all reserved, of course).

I most certainly hope not, that stuff needs to stay in its respective games (Dodonpachi and Touhou). We don't need that making its way into a Raiden game. It would be nice if we get more plot details in this game, such as to why the Cranassians invaded, instead if the usual "alien invasion, military fights back scenario" But hopefully we get some gameplay footage very soon, the suspense is killing me!

But it's got to be a shortage of red diamonds in their homeworld. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Actually information I found on the following website suggests the story is deeper than you think. It's all in Japanese which I had to use Google Translate for, but there is a section that talks about how ancient aircraft with stealth capabilities were unearthed in Egyptian and Indian ruins, and it also makes references to the ruins you can see in some of the levels throughout the Raiden games.

Also, referring to the joke about this new Raiden having lolis and mecha schoolgirls, this is as close as you're going to get. I found it on an official Raiden IV blog. I actually think it's kind of cool how each little part of their outfits is made to look like parts on the Raiden jets.

Yeah, I really doubt we'll see anything before sometime in 2015. Gameplay footage probably won't emerge until a short time before release.

I'd like to be all cool about this game's current mysterious status as I know we won't likely hear anything for some time yet, but I love Raiden so much and am so eager for this game I'm not remotely cool; rather I'm utterly hyped. I keep checking back here like a maniac, in spite of knowing its ridiculous. So I empathise Furry Fox. Over enthusiasm's all part of the fun.

Though I do like Raiden all the more for its relative distance from stocking-clad character art (not that such a lack is the main reason I adore the series of course; that would be the gameplay); I'm surprised that art is Raiden IV related.

I agree that RIII was bland but I feel it was like so many 2D games that made the jump to 3D, as in it takes a few attempts to get things right.
Street Fighter for example, wasn't any good until SFIV that it worked well in 3D. RIV was fantastic on 360 and Overkill was a nice upgrade for my PS3.
