To start, I'm using an Extron Crosspoint, so I need all of my sync signals to be clean or else it doesn't like it.
Because of this, I've got a couple of these adapters to clean the composite video.
With my PS2, both of these work a treat, and I have absolutely 0 issues. With my Xbox however, I get an unsynced image that is complete and utter garbage. I took the SCART cable out and checked the continuity, and there should be 12v on pin 8 as is standard and as is required by the sync stripping circuit. I then tried the resulting output as a composite input, and there was no image, but it caused all of the menu text on my BVM to be doubled. This was the same with both of my sync stripping adapters.
When I tried composite on the non stripping adapter, the image appeared, but trying RGB with that resulted in an unsynced image again.
So I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm not exactly sure what to do next to try and get the image to sync properly. As I said, the PS2 works fine with both of those adapters, so I'm fairly sure they aren't the issue.
If anyone has any advice, I'd apprecaite it. Thanks!

You need extra power. I made a SCART to DSUB cable, with a male USB that goes to a mobile phone charger, it didn't work on its own, but combined with pin8 it works on Playstation 1 and 2 when it didn't before. I'll try with an Xbox and get back to you. I have an Extron RGB 109Xi, I'll try Xbox>Custom lm1881n cable>109xi>PVM.
Tested, needs the USB Power. Used PAL Xbox 1.2 and 1.6 softmodded to NTSC video modes (480i/480p/720p/1080i). I used RGBHV and RGBS from the Extron. SOG works too.

Damn, I'm gonna have to try and figure out a way to do that in my system, I don't have enough spare power for an extra cable.
Thanks though!
