100% agreed. Probably would get my vote for #1 poster ever.

What I found particulary helpful was the hint that planting many bombs on each chess piece during the Silent Bomber endgame lets you beat it quicker.

I'm always clicking for those MD and NES posts. No other bub can make a hard-shmupping man feel like a total loser when it comes to 2D action games.

Pretty much this.

I've actually seen BIL's quality writing get mentioned on German gaming forums (by people who don't post here)!

BIL is definitely close to PC Engine Fan X! in terms of shmups forum legendary status. :)

This guy has made me laugh, and I mean genuinely, and that's worth a lot. Marginal dogging eruption, eluding to the dog handcuff glitch in The Super Shinobi, I mean what the fuck.

Not to mention his knowledge of videogaming is formidable and the delivery of his gaming escapades are informative and often highly amusing to boot.

I'd love to hit up some coop beltscroll with Mr BIL

Yeah he's got my vote too. BIL is definatly a diamond among the rough on Internet gaming forums. His appreciation and enthusiasm of the 2D platformer is unmatched and I've learnt a good deal from reading his posts. Oh, and he has an awesome taste in Videgame music too! :)

my gaming backlog is largely defined by BIL's posts

it must be exhausting to be so thoughtful all the time when posting--his pithy insights into these old games, their mechanics and aesthetic details, is really what all retro reviews/appreciation should aspire to imo
