Oh i think there is a good chance to get one if you observe the market for long enough. Everything pops up sooner or later. Good luck :D

First credit in three months paid off. Died early on stage 4 but kept going anyway. It's been too long :3

A small diversion from arcade mode. Should have been a tlb clear, but briefly lost focus on st 6 boss. Hsving scoring routes for stages 3 to 6 instead of winging it would help with the score...

This game has totally sidetracked me from playing Progear...

Screwed up my line in stage 5 badly, eeeyuck. But I did capture the run.

Nice score! I just found about sinmoon's Limited videos which show a really different way to play than the other videos... it seems much more interesting now, but no way to play it of course :F

This is the White ver st 1 & 2 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9d6fKswnik

Thanks!

A lot of my strat/lines came from observing SIN's 2 runs on his site, many of those same techniques can be used in stage 4 and 5 as well.

I'm wondering if this PCB has a replay function of some sort, as the one thing I can't figure out from his vids is how he's able to match the daily high score in the top right at the end of each of his runs... Anyone know?

He isn't matching it - White video has a high of 1.43b and he scores 1.54b, and the Red video has a high of 4.14b and he scores 4.26b. Looks like he just stops playing after the second and third stages, doing practice runs for those stages most likely.

You're right, the numbers looked so similar that I thought otherwise, and of course the end of stage bonus would change things... Whoops. He's definitely just practicing a section. :)

Nice little boost since last time, I really want to cross 10 bil on White Mode before I dive into Red Mode. I think I can do it if I don't screw up somewhere along the way.

And I crossed it! :D Bring on Red Mode, sure I'll be able to score much higher with all those extra bullets.

I did capture this one, so I'll upload the full run to youtube sometime this week if anyone's interested in checking it out.

Well this didn't take much time, just ALL'd Red Mode and beat my White Mode score. Unfortunately not captured but I think I can improve my score on this mode anyways, I'll upload a better run soon.

The game doesn't keep separate scoreboards for Red and White Mode, so regardless of which mode you select it all get's saved in the same high score table for each character. But to indicate the mode my initials now glow red.

Cool! How is the Red mode different from White? I've just heard that "it's harder" but it'd be better to hear from someone who's spent some time with both :) Are there differences in the scoring system?

Sure man! As far as I can tell the scoring system is exactly the same. The biggest differences from what I see are now there's return bullets both in and out of ninja mode (although you can seal them if destroy them close enough while not in ninja mode, much like all other Cave games with return bullets), and the midbosses/bosses have much crazier, more dense bullet patterns. That's largely why my score is so much higher in Red Mode, just tons more bullets to cancel out.

Is it harder? My line with White Mode is pretty solid, so I had to make some small changes to account for the return bullets in Red Mode otherwise it's not too bad. I'd say slightly harder, but not by much.

Well, I finally beat my projected high score by quite a bit. Only thing I can think of that would get me an even higher score is if I had a no-miss until stage 4 to really raise the rank up. But I think I'll be taking a break to work on some other games!

The video of this run will be on youtube in a couple days. ;)

Excellent work! I appreciate your videos of the Limited Ver - it's interesting stuff that needed a skilled player to show it off.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm trying my best to show the game pushed a bit.

I'd like to hit 20 bil on it, but I'd have to clean up a lot of my run. Unnecessary early deaths ruin almost every run I play...

Cool man, the vid is up and running (and in HD):

As for going on for even higher scores, I'd say probably sometime in the future. ;) I also wouldn't mind playing the Vanilla version as well (gonna be keeping an eye out for that PCB) as the game is absolutely fun as hell to play!
