More hidden capcom powerup cows in the NES version of 1943. They appear when you destroy the carrier's runway (opens and shuts like a big bay door). Can't verify on the PCB as I don't own it.

The GC/PS2 remake of Star Soldier also has a secret animal. There is a black cat that appears in stage 4 and 6 if a specific condition is met. For the stage 6, it is shooting one of the orange cylinder-shaped towers in the background until the cat appears. In stage 4, I think the requirement is destroying everything on the island with the 1up but I am not sure. Maybe there are more secret black cats that I haven't found.

In any case, hovering over the cat will net you bonus points for as long as you do it.
