My mom is about to buy an HDTV and it just might be getting used for the sake of gaming every now and then. Thus I could use an information what's the least laggy on the market.
It should be small (the smaller, the better) and 720 for vertical resolution will be enough. Short response time and long lasting are the priorities here.

I have the 32" size, which is not the best, but for me its awesome. Wallmounting with a VESA Mount is a pain in the ass.

The only 720s I come across are on deal sites and they're usually not top of the line or anything.

The LG 32LN530B is the closest thing I can think of; 32" 720p, input lag of 28ms according to displaylag.com, direct-LED IPS, and probable 4:4:4 support for PC.
It's a 2013 model though, not sure there's much stock left nor if it's available easily anywhere: http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-32 ... s=32ln530b
Upper model 32LN5300 / 32LN5400 (1080p) is pretty much the same with a few minor variants.
LG also had smaller 2013 models in the same fashion, the LN4500 series, available in 24", 26" and maybe 29" (not sure).

In 2014 they have the new 'LB' series, with some models sporting around 24ms input lag.
Considering the usually decent 'monitor use' qualities of the LGs you may want to have a look at what they say over here and check the smaller models available:

Yes most TVs from most brands feature a game mode, more or less efficient depending on the brands and series.
LG's is good, does what one expects from it, but it's not as great as the Sony's of course.
