Show us what you collect besides shooters. Books, guns, pogs, porn, whatever. :)

Unfortunately, games is what I collect and nothing else (except for CDs, boring), so no pics from me.

Now, let's see that Transformers collection Sly. :)

No pics yet but I've got mint-on-card Star Wars toys on my wall, a giant GI Joe Cobra army on my dresser (atleast 50 troops of either BATs or Crimson Shadow Guards), and a massive 100+ wrestling DVD collection.

my cousin has the entire he-man set from the 80s. sadly, or not, depending on how you look at it, it is all opened and played with.

i wanted to buy the whole set off him at one point, but never new him well enough to ask about it.

I've got a pretty decent Castlevania collection, but is this a non-shmup thread or a non-videogame thread?

I've only got my own video game collections. I'm pushin' nearly 200 games for Xbox, GC, PS2, DC, Saturn, SNES, NES, DS, GBA, N64, and PC.

Not a lot, I know, but it seems massive to me. :P

I don't even know how many games I have anymore... Other than that, I do have a pretty decent collection of Nerf guns, although most are in storage at my parents' house currently.

I'd take a picture of my bookshelf but I don't have a digital camera on hand. It's mostly drug/drug policy related nonsense, with some terrorist stuff and fiction (William S Burroughs!!! Aldous Huxley!!!).
Feedback will set you free.

Don't have a digital camera, I like to collect soundtracks from movies and video games. I'll list the ones I own here. Some of them got very limited releases (in some cases only 3,000 or even 1,000 copies were pressed ever) so I'm pretty happy with it. Stupid Verizon hasn't activated my broadband yet so no MP3 requests yet. :P Almost all of these are original printings from whenever they first came out.

I hate lyrics. I love soundtracks. ;)

Man... if you asked a few years ago, I had an illegally downloaded hentai collection that would satisfy any frustrated shmupper. Somewhere between 200 and 350 episodes... but I gave most of it away to someone who needed it more than I do, hahaha... I kept only 10 CDs or so worth.

And I have a stack of downloaded JAVs, a small amount of white people pr0n (no offense guys, your women aren't as hot as Asians), two PSPorn UMDs and four more waiting in the mail...

Erhm... yes...

Hmm, I don't really collect these in the formal sense, and I'm not sure if this counts as "games", but I tend to have a lot of joysticks: Couple boxed DC Agetecs, PSX Namco stick, Boxed Saturn Hori Fighting Stick SS, Saturn Astro City dual stick HSS-0136.

My pride and joy is my Akumajo Dracula collection: Every single home-use Castlevania game released in Japan in complete condition! :)

The only one I'm missing is the Akumajo Dracula arcade PCB, then I will have a 100% complete Castlevania collection. If you're willing to sell, please contact me!

Although I have many videogames, records, books, DVD, etc, I don't really consider myself a "collector" of these. I just buy the shit I like, that's all. I do have a pretty impressive "collection" of horror/bizarre/underground manga though.

Actually, now that I've collected all the Akumajo Dracula games, I'm thinking of finishing a Japan-only Makaimura (Ghouls 'N Ghosts) collection, as I already own most of these games anyway.

Sweet. Isn't that one of the most rare and expensive PCB's ever to exist though? :?

It's pretty hard to find and expensive, but there are many more PCBs that are even rarer and/or more expensive. Among the pre-Jamma boards, for example, there are some truly crazy rarities.

The US version is actually a bit easier to find, I think. Pops up on ebay every once in a while.

Or did you mean "good luck trying to beat it". Cuz yeah, the raised difficulty level in the US Haunted Castle really is a case for Amnesty International.

Yeah it's totally insane. I mean the WEAKEST enemies taking two hits to kill by default is just stupid. Actraiser 2 made the same mistake.

I attempted to complete the UK Neo Geo pocket color collection, which I have achieved and will probably sell in due course.

Collections are pretty pointless imo... There are always things you won't sell or give away but collecting stuff just for the sake of having it is really pointless.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Cool topic. I don't really collect anything apart from shmups. And now I'm wondering why I do that, since I really only play 3 or 4 of them these days.

What are JAVs, iatneH?

Japanese Adult Videos? Somthing similar atleast.

I recently sold about 80 japanese MD games, that were just lying around in complete mint condition. From that day, I've been trying to keep only what I actually play or enjoy from time to time. Collecting can be fun, but when I had come to the point when I was thinking about it all day long, and it consumed basically ALL of my wage, I eventually got sick of it.
