STGWeekly Jukebox Submissions
Hey there everyone, Sodamachine here from STGWeekly.
As of now, we are planning to change the way STGweekly is being streamed slightly.
With this, we are talking about starting the stream 5-15 minutes before the show actually start.
During this time, we will have a running jukebox with various shmup music for you to listen to while you are waiting for the show to start.
The same will apply to our hopefully soon implemented short breaks.
These short breaks can variate between 5-10 minutes, and will be on episodes we know are going to be longer than an hour.
This will give you guys a chance to leave the computer, get some air, maybe something to drink, or use the bathroom without having to miss anything.
This is something we have considered, because we know it can be hard to pay attention on the very long episodes in one sitting.
So now we are allowing you, our viewers to decide what will be in this jukebox, making it community driven!
I am making this a separate thread from the original STGweekly thread due to it not being directly linked to what is going on in the show, and dont want to flood that thread with tons of random Youtube links!
Oh, and as always, Feedback is welcome!

Re: STGWeekly Jukebox Submissions
Thunderforce III
also IV
and Elemental Master
...Basically a bunch of Technosoft music
specific suggestions could be "Hunger Made Them Desperate" from III (actually I'd go with the TF AC version): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8U8pzAf6GI
"Metal Squad" from IV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTQIiIKummw
"Until the End of the Earth" from EM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaFw0np_P8A
I have tons more suggestions (both Technosoft and otherwise), but I don't want to overwhelm the thread already with just one post.

Re: STGWeekly Jukebox Submissions
Konami has a long history of commissioning pretty solid arrangements of their various game soundtracks, and their STGs are no exception. So here's a few:
Burning Heat (Gradius II): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69EmMOECMYw
A-JAX (A-JAX): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTttuTtBrxw
Out of the Blue from Hyperspace (Xexex): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrIU0jgmaBc
Try to Star (Gradius III): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z3NegCEOmk

Re: STGWeekly Jukebox Submissions
A long time ago I sent Aquas some clips that could play as the intro right before the first person spoke. Aquas never used them....

I like the idea
It should always begin with a singing Aquas/F-man

If you're heard Aquas doing his impromptu stuff, then that makes this suggestion doubly important.beatsgo wrote:It should always begin with a singing Aquas/F-man
Make it so, STGWeekly.

Re: STGWeekly Jukebox Submissions
Zero Rei (X68000 caravan game) would be awesome (especially BGM 00 or 01), but I don't think they're on youtube at all
There's a sound test in the game, though (same screen as "start" and "speed")

Re: STGWeekly Jukebox Submissions
I am about halfway done with all the requests.
Hopefully there wont be as many requests at the same time in the future, for gathering all this and getting them all in MP3 and making sure they are about the same volume level was way more boring than I thought this would be xD.
I'm gonna try to update the jukebox every week, but no promises.
I will also create a pastebin that I will link in the first post and on the stream for you guys to keep track on what already exist as well!
I will get all the current requests done easily till the next episode so!
Thanks for all the request!
