Definitely a sequel. Lots of new backgrounds, every character has something new, story mode is massive if you care about that(I do, but waiting for the US release).evil_ash_xero wrote:Would you say it's more of a sequel or an update? Also, I read that almost all the background are different, except for two.

Re: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (ARC/PS3/360?)
Was playing some Chronophantasma with some friends today. Damn, there's lots of stuff different. Jin's moveset has been shuffled around quite a bit [which screwed me up a bunch, expecting Jin to zip across the screen with QCB, C is a mistake].
Definitely feels like a sequel instead of just a revision.

Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Well, if anyone in 'murica is gonna pick this up one day, expect a 4/5-month gap from now till March's placeholder month meant true. So yeah, its gonna be a long while.
Also, US LE is gonna be the same as the JP one but with 2 items included in the US one, a move list poster and a Blu-Ray extras disc. $80...Reguar still $50.

Re: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (ARC/PS3/360?)
Been playing this quite a bit, but I can't really get the hang of it. I miss all of the defensive options from P4A. BB just seems like it's all about endless shenanigans. Combos still last like 4 years. Also someone online forced me to block Amane's drill attacks for, I shit you not, 50% chip damage. What the fuck is that?
I don't really dislike the game though, I've just never taken BB seriously enough to learn the right way to play it. I've been enjoying Izayoi, but I can't seem to get anywhere with her.
On a more positive note I love the remixed music, and the new online lobby system also works really well.

It seems is going to be released on PSN next week in europe.
I was wondering if the USA version or jpanese are region free because Persona4 for example wasnt at all.

I've read better jokes. Really they don't know what to say now a days. Well I guess that BB comunity has always been bigger on sony platform. WhateverKAI wrote:Cause "the game doesn't fit on a Xbox360 disc" LOL.Phellan Wolf wrote:Why the game hasn't been launched on 360????

Well to be honest 360 was dead in japan since the very beginning, I wonder if it had had an Apple designed on it his fate would probably be different. However in the west is really alive and there are a lot of people that like the series.ACSeraph wrote:It's because the 360 is dead is Japan.
I've all my fighting games on 360 except for Tekken Tag 2 wich for the first time for Namco got a much better version on PS3. But that's another story.
Re: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (ARC/PS3/360?)
^Nah it's different now. I don't mean dead as in unpopular, I mean it's pretty legit dead. Most stores don't really carry new 360 stuff here anymore. It's been that way for about a year.
I'm guessing the 360 BB Western fanbase isn't really big enough to warrant producing a port.

Well, I signed up for Evo.

I need a lot of work, but if I can think up ways out of corners and some blockstrings, I have a chance. Maybe.

A Kokonoe won at NCR. Doesn't bode well for my 'baki's chances.

lol sorry for the late reply, use barrier block?ACSeraph wrote: Also someone online forced me to block Amane's drill attacks for, I shit you not, 50% chip damage. What the fuck is that?
good luck, CJ! yeah i imagine you'll run into brokenoe a few times..
as for me? I'll probably have to get a US psn account to play it.. eh.
Re: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (ARC/PS3/360?)
Yeah no I know you have to barrier block, all shenanigans have their counter-strategies. But that one did seem a little bit ridiculous the first time I encountered it. I never did end up being able to get into this game, and I doubt I will now that Suplex has hit. Corner Rape: The Game just isn't my thing I guess, but I respect those who can play it well.
Didn't help that I refused to stop maining Izayoi...
She's getting majorly buffed soon though, and Kokonoe is getting the nerf bat.

Re: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (ARC/PS3/360?)
Amane's drills can still devour a full barrier bar quite rapidly. Much of his moveset is based around dealing chip damage, though it could stand to be toned down a couple notches.
Kokonoe's 236C ice gun deals similarly excessive amounts of chip damage if blocked, though it's finickier to set up. Amusingly, it brings the match to a screeching halt for around ten seconds if a Growler absorbs the full discharge.

Had the chance to play this yesterday. I love Jin's reconstruction so far. The OD working alla AH3 it's just perfect.
