Ikaruga live demonstration (Gamefest 2014)

Anyway, there's a gaming event in Berlin this Saturday (April 12th). Most of the games featured are speedruns (which is awesome) and I'm holding up the STG flag with a live demonstration of Ikaruga.

I was excited for this but turns out I read the schedule wrong and it already happened. It also turns out I didn't miss much since the recording setup was the sophisticated webcam-pointed-at-a-crt, making it completely unwatchable.

Alright; I'm back home. It was a really unfortunate situation and I was quite pissed but it's alright. I'm very sorry for all the people watching the stream.

However, I'm happy with getting 30mill one miss on a live run. Wouldn't have expected that to be honest. I'll train harder for Stunfest and am praying for a good quality stream there.

Can't streams be directly plugged in to the monitor? Recording at a distance on a glared-up screen is useless.

It seems that the japanese game running with a bootdisc on a PAL system could not be captured directly.

There was no japanese DC at hand so we had to go with this solution. Thinking about it now, I would've cut out Ikaruga as a whole. It was quite bad for the presentation of the event as a whole.
