just got a pen and ink book by Phlegm. Pics are pretty horrible quality, but good pictures wouldn't even do it justice.

My haul from yesterday's browsing.

Image

CIB Life Force!

Both Perfect Dark and Tetris 2 are sealed. (My wife has a major thing for various versions of Tetris)

I saw a cart only of Tengen Tetris but passed on it because I prefer CIB stuff, but looking at Ebay the price they were asking was really good... hmmmmm..... might have to go back tomorrow.

detailed linework like this is so fucking impressive. I've started collecting prints and sketchbooks / comics by Mattias Adolfsson, Moebius and Geof Darrow.

That's exactly how I get now. I can't deal with the excess, makes me agitated (weirdly.) Thankfully I've got my game collecting down to a zen state of discipline whereby I play everything I buy and cull everything that's genuinely pointless to own. I feel better!

My problem is that I don't have the time or energy to cull, so it is just boxed up in storage.

This actually came in a couple days ago, but I've been using it so much that I haven't had time to post about it yet.

DJ Dao FPS get, woooooot! Such an awesome controller, worlds above my KOCs and much better than I was expecting even. Very comparable to the arcade feeling. And I've noticed that playing on this thing my timing is universally better-- a solid EXSCORE jump of at least 5-10% across the board, although that probably has more to do with this being a native USB controller than anything else.

Nice! You'll definitely be playing that baby for the rest of your life. DJ Doa is solid in their controller design.

I picked up some nintendo'y goodies this weekend on the cheap. :buttrock:

Image
- The Hyrule Historia book is great, lots of info, art...just a all-in-one complete Zelda bible.
- Link's Awakening is probably my 3rd favourite Zelda game, box is a little damaged, but not too bad
And I'm gearing up for my Everdrive GB:
- AGS-101 (back-lit) GBA SP is really nice. Upgraded from my AGS-100, the difference is astounding.
- Super Game Boy complete in box. Wasn't planning on getting this, but the deal was too good ;)

Congrats! These DJ Dao controllers are awesome. much better than the official ones by Konami for the PS2.

Btw did you get yours with Sanwa buttons? if not, don't bother with the upgrade. It was a very expensive upgrade for me. and it made not much difference at all...

No, I just got the Dao buttons for now, but got good switches (50g Omroms). I do plan to upgrade to Sanwas eventually, just for the sake of having them, but I don't expect much change. It feels great as it is. Another unexpected benefit is that it's tall and heavy enough that I can set it on a cardboard box and it won't slide around on my desk, so I can raise it up for standing play (much more enjoyable imo).

Got a sweet little Vic Viper pin from the Konami store. Camera is around here somewhere...

here's the link, delete if it's not appropriate to link to the store for some reason.

First, perhaps not so exciting: Picked up yesterday, HDD to replace my failing one and HDMI cable for my parents.

But also visited a second hand store, and found:
Image
Conan the Destroyer on DVD and Chess on vinyl. Paid about $3 total.

And, got in the mailbox today:
Image
It was really only the lower two I wanted but figured why the hell not on the upper two, dude on Swedish gaming forum sold. Chinatown Wars is even still in plastic wrapping.
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself
