Help me remember the name of a cartoon.

Post by Specineff »

It was series of educational shorts, featuring a cartoon orange cat with white muzzle and paws, who started by saying "I wonder..." and the chapter would be named after the second part of the question, such as "Does it ever rain in the desert?" or "Where do escaped balloons go?". The unseen narrator and the cat would then start talking, searching, and demonstrating the response to the questions. I suspect it was a British production, from the late 80s or early 90s. The show incorporated both animation and live action. Searches have proven fruitless. Please help, and thanks.

I did some searching and came up with two possibilities.

Bagpuss, maybe? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagpuss
possibly Henry's Cat? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry%27s_Cat

Either of those sound like they could be it.

LOL, thanks. But honestly, searches for "I wonder cartoon cat" brought only this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APjGXasdve4

Thanks a lot. Now I can buy the collection. Thanks for those links too, Edmond. I'll see if those may interest my kid nephew.

Irrelevant now, but Bagpuss rules. Kind of melancholy for a children's show. Bagpuss is the epitome of child toy sadness.

Thanks to this thread, I learned about Bagpuss. Best kind of awesome, and the DVD can be easily found pretty cheap.
