Gunwage PCB

Post by Gingerzilla »

Hi All,

I have been enjoying my new Egrett II with some great shooters, one of them is Gunwage.

As I have been playing the heck out of it I'm beginning to notice the odd control hiccup here and there.
I find that from time to time the character can not walk forward (up the screen) and I just get stuck in a side to side motion.
I invariably die and end up at the credits screen when strangely enough up works again.
I'm wondering is this a faulty joystick or is this a PCB issue before I go in and change the stick.
Has anybody had this trouble.

Cheers

Yup, that's actually part of the game. When you are using focused "shikigami" shot your character only moves left/right, and up/down actually controls the movement of the beast you summoned. Very, very awkward to get the hang of, but it's part of what makes Guwange so cool.

Yeah I know that the Shikigami stops your moving vertically but I was getting a fail without it. Anyway after tinkering I think it might have been a loose connection. Duh! :-) And yes it is one of the best cave shooters ever I have to say.
