I play it every day and pretty much put all other shooters on hold. I still think it's the best ios game ever made and like I've said before, it's now or never with a lot of it. You can't even play the original game anymore for example, though Burst is definitely better.
Re: Don★Paccin
I'm rank 26 and with the update I feel the game is just to easy now and not as fun.
What does burst do anyways? When I use it, i don't really see much of a difference, am I using it at the wrong time?
I like the old version better, now shooting the falling pac mans all the time is kind of lame compared to avoiding all of the off color gems.
The only gems I get now in a stage are the primary colors? It's like they changed the whole feel of the game.
I want the Don*Paccin back, Lol!

Ehh?
The gem colors that you don't have in your team, will spawn these cube-bullets instead of the gems itself, now

Re: Don★Paccin
It's definitely harder now on later rank. All of the tight fat cube line sections are way harder to get through and when the boss timers run out and they descend on your head those parts are way harder than gem dodging ever was. But the game is now so different that it probably should have been released separately since it's inevitable that some people will like the old version better.
The burst stuff depends on which robo you use, they have different power types and strengths depending on how much you have powered them up. One of them cuts like the blades in AK Shin. One of them is a missile blast, one of them powers your shot for a period of time into blades that are homing, one of them turns all bullets on the screen into stars which is probably the most useful one when the bosses are descending. I had a white SSR join my team once and she had invincibility, turned the plane invincible for a while. The SSR characters probably all have unique powers and everyone else has some level of the basic types.

I think it's robos capable of the Burst moves. The color of the bubble might indicate the shot type.
Re: Don★Paccin
If your robo does not have a burst mode, is there a way to get one? Maybe throug evolving or upgrading with other robos that have burst mode?

Re: Don★Paccin
I don't know.
Edit - this may not be exact but from what it looks like so far the B color coding is:
Blue: shot powerup
Red: bomb
Pink: heal (increases fuel, might also have invincibility etc.)

You need to click the green icon in the address bar on the Play Store page, as this tells Google that you're downloading the app, apparently without verifying if you can do so in your country. Doesn't matter about the "incompatible with your device" text. It will pop up a thing to save, but honestly you shouldn't even have to save the .apk, the next time your device syncs (may require a restart) it should show up over on the "all" tab in My Apps. (It will NOT show up under installed, because Google does hide apps not available in your country/on your device)Camp wrote:Any other ideas on getting this working on a Verizon Android device? I was able to download the .apk using that link a while back. I was running a custom ROM back then, and the game installed and played just fine. Now I'm running a stock ROM, and the game will still install, but when I run it, it eventually takes me to the Google Play app and tells me it's not available in my country.xfullmetal17 wrote:So I somehow managed to get this attached to my Google account (if I go into the Play Store page it now gives the open/uninstall option, on the web it no longer whines about "not available in your country")
Not entirely sure how I pulled it off, but it is doable. Testing to see if I can reinstall it if I uninstall or switch devices.
edit: and yes I can. Guess Google only cares where you are for the initial "purchase" of an app/movie/music, even if it's free. It does *not* show up under my installed apps though, I have to go over into the "all" tab if/when an update comes out.
I used the page here http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
But instead of pasting the link there I did the Chrome extension method, which as far as I can see tells Google "This user is downloading this app to their device," which apparently set the flag for me having "purchased" it. In theory it could work for any free app that's region-blocked. (if someone has one they know of, I'd be glad to test this theory)
last edit: lol Cave "this app is compatible with all of your devices." Yeah, I'd love to see my OG Evo 4G run this, if only to laugh at the horrific lag.
I tried the Chrome extension method you posted. I was able to make that method work, but it ultimately takes me to the same place above (not available in my country). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling after using the Chrome method too.
edit: is it me, or do you have a LOT less fuel now? (or I'm getting hit and not realizing it)

This graphic changed for me today, and it looks like my hopes might be correct, that after stage 60 it sends you into space instead of ending. So satisfied if that turns out to be the case.

Re: Don★Paccin
Thanks. I got it working. It was a bad ROM and root situation. I went back to stock, then used your method, and it worked. Glad to be playing this again.xfullmetal17 wrote:You need to click the green icon in the address bar on the Play Store page, as this tells Google that you're downloading the app, apparently without verifying if you can do so in your country. I had it installed earlier but was just able to install the .apk without this new method. I had to start over with a new account/profile because I don't know how to reconnect to my old account to my new installation. It didn't seem to give that option. I'm at level 12 now.

Awesome. I had to update the install video today after it didn't work for a friend. I think every time I've posted instructions for it in the past I forgot at least one step, until now.
When I go in the Japan store the menus and whatnot are still in English so I guess that part is different for some languages.

I am looking at the offerings for iPhone and iPad and all the other CAVE games are there![]()
I'm going to get killed !
BUT: For me that would have been an impossible task because all registration dialogs were in japanese! (not english as mentioned somewhere else...)
I solved it by changing my iPhones system language from german to english.
Et voila: Registration of a japanese account with english dialogs
(As a Dutch'o'nean you might face similar problems)

Re: Don★Paccin
Well , I did exactly that but then my freshly made Japan account just vanished before my eyes before I could finish and I couldn't log in with the details I used so I gave up for a while .

There was some discussion early in the thread about it. Personally I don't know how region locking (or anything else) works in Android devices.
Re: Don★Paccin
Because I've been trying hard to get a hold of it on android. I've never managed to get a Japanese app to work on my Android even though I'm rooted.
I really want to try paccin as opposed to just hating on it without actually trying it.

The only thing I can think of aside from the info in the thread is to google for a way to get Japanese apps in general to work on it.

Another major update released, 1.5.1. After you install the update in the app store and launch, you have to choose the option button on the right to download the major portion. Pretty much wifi only for it. I think it might be the biggest (download size) update yet. I guess they retouched a bunch of graphics files. It looks like the attack mode hit distribution was revamped as well (in the player's favor).

Anyone managed to get this app to work on android? I tried but just couldn't find a way.

Yep. I used the apk downloader provided earlier in this thread and installed from that, works fine. I'm on a UK nexus 4, not rooted. Could be something to do with the ROM you're using.mastermx wrote:Anyone managed to get this app to work on android? I tried but just couldn't find a way.

Re: Don★Paccin
Thanks for the tip. I got it working using the downloader. I think there was something wrong with the apk I was using in the past.

Re: Don★Paccin
Don't know if anyone is still playing this game. I see I missed the boat entirely months ago...
I had a few quick questions:
Robos:
Sometimes they have Kanji in front of them. 3 characters. I don't know what this means...
What do the stars mean in front of them too? Some have one star, others two.
I read that you should fuse before upgrading. I was confused:
- One robo has an unlit star and is level 1/20
- Fuse and his star is lit and his level is 1/25
Or is it better to use those level N robos for upgrading?
I'm having troubles around level 8, now I'm using mixed teams. Is there a good consensus as to what is a good team? I'm using two characters who match the boss's weakness and high-level other characters. Does the team leader have to match the boss's weakness color?
They're rolling out updates, SSR characters from other Cave games. Hina, Seseri, Reco, Saya...I'm guessing you're supposed to buy them.
I'd enjoy this an awful lot more if my Japanese were a lot better.
