I'd say yes. AFAIK there's been some optimisations done and I found this to run quite nicely on my i3 99% of the time whereas before it was a bit hit-miss with the newer games.

Right, in that case then I'll...

Actually, I don't know what I'm going to do. Google no good, you say?

Altavista is still a thing, right?

On slowpoke Ibara was unplayable for me. Now it stays at about 96% (bare in mind that i only played somewhere up to stage 3)

I'm on a Athlon II X2 3,4 GHz and 32 bit WIN 7

Hmm, it would appear that one of the links posted earlier in this thread has now been, erm, updated, with...y'know, stuff.

Move along people, nothing to see here.

AK Limited is the one that's locked to freeplay because it was for home / collectors market, not arcades right?

That would make it a MESS target like CPSChanger rather than something that will be in MAME.

(of course, it isn't dumped, and I doubt it will be any time soon.. the people who are dumping these simply aren't interested in dumping the newer games. NeoGeo has been emulated for years and nobody is dumping the NGDev team stuff and releasing it to the public, even if I know for a fact it has been done)

I would have said the same two days ago. And here we have DFK and DS MBL. Go figure.

Watch out saying "nobody". Because you can't find the games or because they don't pop up on forums doesn't mean that they are undumped. Again, see above.

Anyone else having trouble entering the service menu? I hold f2 as normal but nothing happens. Turning service mode on in the dips switches doesn't have any effect.

Are you sure F2 is the default key? Sometimes different MAME builds change it up ... hit TAB to get to the menu and check key bindings

Way too soon? MAME usually waits at least three years before including it in their builds and it might take even longer than that for the game to actually be playable. DFK has been out for 5 1/2 years and the others have been out for even longer than that. Espgaluda II and Ibara were released in arcades eight years ago. As far as it being too soon to dump something, well, people can dump it all they want. They won't be able to play it until it's included in the build.
Uh you realise DFK's still being sold in japanese Xbox Live and the mobile platforms right?
Certainly you don't think that the game being released in MAME will stop anyone from buying the console port considering that the port was released five years ago. Anyone who wants it will have long ago bought it. There's also the fact that the port has many more features. PCB enthusiasts will continue to buy PCB's regardless of what happens with MAME. Anyone who wants the portability of the mobile versions won't care about MAME, either

Actually I just bought the console port because of this..

Previously I'd only played ver 1.0 and thought it was shit, and that I'd never enjoy it (difficulty too high) but having now seen what 1.5 is about with the auto-bombs etc. it actually seems like an enjoyable game I'd actually want on the console / big TV.

I am buying a 360 today, and ordering DFK because of this. Didn't think I liked the game, realized I just didn't understand it.

Why all the hate for it?
I remember I didn't really put enough time into it when I got it, but wanted to get back to it.
Just never got around to it, really.
Gonna make a point of firing up Resurrection when I get home tonight.

There is a common misconception that the game is too easy because you can Strong 1-ALL it with a shitty score by just hyper chaining.

Granted, you can cheese your way through a number of Cave games with resource abuse/shitty scores, so I'm not sure why this one got more hate than others.

Probably because Auto Bomb with Bomb/Strong Style allows you to make a ridiculous amount of mistakes compared to Cave's other games. I got to the stage 4 boss on my third credit (first credit was B-Power, second and third were B-Bomb), and normally I can't even get past stage 3 on Cave games (other than Donpachi and Dodonpachi).

That is basically EXACTLY what i said a few posts earlier.

Because wall hugs.

Imho Dai Fukkatsu has the steepest learning curve of all cave games there is in terms of scoring. Going from simply clearing the game to at least getting the second extend seems impossible.

You can make a ridiculous amount of mistakes in ESP Ra.DE, Espgaluda, Deathsmiles, Guwange, Muchi Muchi Pork and Dodonpachi if you are ignoring score. (Well, Pork requires some scoring to get extends, but if you medal and skip boss milking its still pretty lenient)

The only difference is that you have to push a button when you make that mistake. (Heck, Deathsmiles and Guwange don't even require that)

I played this Daifukkatsu on Ume.

Why the songs are differents from x360 version? Because on x360 is the black label one? I love those songs!

Man, Pink Sweets 2006/xx/xx MASTER VER. doesn't seem as broken as arcade otaku's wiki makes out. Defaults to Free Play but I have ship selection and special mode doesn't seem to fuck up the attract mode. Birds aren't there either. The dumped version also strangely says it is "hardware version. 00000000.

It said it was set to F2.
