Have you tried Twin Cobra? It works perfect in mame and in my opinion its Toaplans finest moment (when it comes to their old school stuff that is)

Homura on PS2. I'd never heard of this game until fairly recently, so i was surprised at just how good it is when I bought it.

Plus a bit of Border Down and Dux on DC.

I'm also playing the Raiden FA demo on 360, only because no one wants to release any PAL shmup goodness over here!!

Mostly playing Darius Gaiden for SAT which I'm enjoying too much, this game has quickly become one of my favorite hori shmups.
Little bit of In The Hunt which is pretty cool, met my expectations. Truxton and Elemental Master for GEN when I have the system hooked up.

Nice to hear people still enjoying such a range of games. Some of my personal favorites like Gunbird 2 and Souky still getting the love they deserve. Next week though is going to be Death Smiles since my 360 finally shipped from play-asia.

Strikers 1945 Plus. I usually avoid the Pancake in Strikers II, but it gives this game such a wicked rhythm of 1) annihilate everything onscreen with laser sweep 2) mad dash for gold 3) holy shit, where'd all these bullets come from?! Dodge like a mofo!! 4) repeat until boss arrives. I'll have to put this on my MVS cart shopping list, been playing it all evening in MAME.

I've been playing Strikers II, practicing the loop. I have 3 of the 4 opening stages pretty much down but getting destroyed on the stage that opens with the tanks. Especially the 5 (?) groups of 3 turrets. I'm sure there has to be a safe spot but I can't find it.
