Totally depends on the beer. I mean, if you are drinking 7% or higher, you really don't need to drink that much unless you are trying to get trashed.

That said, I'm drinking less these days and my tolerance is going down. Probably a good thing.

Im like tha this thread exist cause i can check the interwebs and still post something if i like.So far ive just been listening to CDs...wierd ones at that.Some hank williams jr, david allen coe ( i like old country when i drink) cranberries for some reason...i like to chalk it up to me being irish american though that really makes no sense.If i were to get to the point were i had to type like these other drunkards i dont know if i could make it to the computer.Backspace is my friend.Anyhow, none of my waiter friends are home yet(who live acroos the street) so im getting drunker and more bored.I def cant game right now...more music i guess.

Well shit im bored sitting here by myself waiting.18 pack isnt an exact figureIts two 6 packs of 16 oz splus 2 more cans left over.I figure that is near an 18 pack though.

Drunken math say that is ...2 6 pack plus 2 extra per 6pack equals 16 beers plus the two 16 oz can =14 beers plus two 16 oz beers = ....

I started to type this and almost erased it but figued in the spirit of the thread id let it go....i have no idea right now how many 12 oz beers that many 16 oz beers equals

Having a massive hangover in the morning, I thought the thing through. No matter what, I don't drink ridiculous amounts of alcohol from now on, hence limit it to rational doses, like 2 beers maximum. Hangover no more...

Just be sure to see your limits.
Like stopping after 5 beers or so already is a good idea.
Drinking 2 vodka at once is not so good in a comparison.

Since we're all serious drinkers here, I'd like to know something...

What's your tax, speaking in beer terms? (the 5% ALCOHOL regular ones. not the lame 3% British shit, not the strong Belgian stuff, just plain old lager).

Having had a good meal, I can take up to 12 .5 ltr cans or pints before getting near a blackout phase. (which is over the edge in my terms).
Used to be able to handle more but medicine have a huge influence on my capability to handle alcohol.

Just wanted to mention I gave up hard liquor a few months back and I haven't missed it. For all this talk of Vodka; I had a little the other day and it almost made me sick. In my mind at least I still like bourbon and cognacs but I won't drink any of that anymore.

Just wine and beer please.

You know, alcohol does not work that way. Vodka has a quite higher percentage than beer.

You can make a very simple calculation.

Average beer has 5% vol, most vodka has around 40% vol alcohol.
This means how much pure alcohol is in the beverage.

So this means 500ml of beer with 5% have 25ml pure alcohol,
100ml of Vodka with 40% have 40ml of pure alcohol.

So you see, it's not quite as simple as that, but you would still get more pure alcohol from the 5 beers in this case anyway.
