Some members of this forum might actually have to keep a spare TV oriented normally, just to play this game.

I'm really looking forward to this game. Can't work out if I'm more hyped about this or Saidaioujou though, as I played that when I was in Japan, and this will be all new to me :):):)

NCSX just opened up pre-orders for both versions of the game today (for those who prefer to go through them). So I guess the SKU info for these games is sorta trickling out bit by bit.

This looks fresh, pre-ordering the Regular Edition. I typically don't love 3d graphics, but raiden 4 looked great and this has a very unique style with the gothic fantasy thing going on. Way pumped for this!

So, has anyone sent an e-mail asking if it's going to be region free yet? I'm guessing the answer is going to be no because Raiden IV wasn't. I'd send one but the best I could manage would be "Region free desu sugoi!!!".

I asked them on facebook and youtube, I hope they speak some English. Ginga force is region-free so Moss cannot blame MS like Cave and G.Rev did.

I expect Europe will get fucked over again if it's not region free.

Yep, here's the NCSX link to pre-order the LE version of Caladrius: http://www.shopncsx.com/caladriuslimitededition.aspx

and the NCSX link to pre-order the regular version of Caladrius: http://www.shopncsx.com/caladriusregularedition.aspx

I'm pretty sure the European & American 360 owners will get shafted again if Caladrius ain't region-free from the get-go -- makes picking up a JPN region 360 console all the worth while (if the ultimate decision is chosen later on for a JPN only region release).

You never know Raiden Fighters Aces might still make it to PAL since the Amazon store page is still there :P

Mostly likely the Triangle Service/ Caladaris Fuck U CAVE gang is J360, that's why Trap has a big chopper to hack the fingers off Region Free scum.

$105 bucks for the LE! Fff... Better come with a fleshlight for that money.

Basiscape work are terribly overrated, maybe that's the reason why the LE is so expensive.

Some system data's been posted.
http://caladrius.mossjp.co.jp/howtoplay_base.html
http://caladrius.mossjp.co.jp/howtoplay_element.html

Game has a whole load of buttons and functions, dunno if good or bad yet.
A button - fire a normal shot.
B button - I fire protection elements, proximity-based shoot.
X button - I shoot fire element attack system.
Y button - I fired the chute element support system.
Left trigger (Any two simultaneous press / X / Y / B button) or - I fired a burst element (Gauge element can be used in more than 50% of all)
Right trigger - I use the bomb.

 I tend to avoid games with more than 4 buttons. I thought this would be a nice 2 button game. Ah, well, perhaps you can live without one button (the fifth), because one of these (six) seem to just be a combo button?

Hmm...I couldn't get into Raiden IV...because I don't like Raiden. A little too olden times for me.

This looks interesting. Will keep an eye out to see what you guys think of it when released.

tbh I think Raiden IV is a little too olden times but Raiden Fighters Aces is timeless

weird how that works

Yeah, I know 4 is the ceiling for proper shmups, still it's a new game and MOSS has some practice with shmups, maybe it's not too bad.
I have a hunch they just neglected to combine functions on a single button, bar that one example, I mean say Ibara BL would be a 5 button game if the bomb button didn't have two functions and I bet there's other games like that.

Probably comes from this being a console release and not having to deal with the button limitations of arcade cabinets.

Naw, Radiant Silvergun takes this one, they both have 3 buttons but Silvergun uses them for 4 extra combinations, Chaos Field has just two.
So that would be 7 functions for Silvergun and 5 for Chaos Field. This game we're talking about is right inbetween.

Hah, I remember playing Radiant Silvergun a few times in 7-button mode with the Saturn pad. Although I prefer using fingertips to push buttons, so I got used to 3-button mode fairly quickly.

Don't forget this is getting an arcade release too, so hopefully there'll be different combinations of buttons to do certain things without the need for six buttons.
